He said choose this day who you shall serve, if God serve Him, if it's Baal, serve him. He goes as far as to tell us that He put before us life and death, but I said, choose life that you can live. He said I am the resurrection and life, if any man come to me, he shall live and not die. (Paraphrasing here) so my darling, it's up to you, to choose which god you want to serve. God in Jesus Christ is not a God of the dead. He is life, He is light, He is eternal, He is sovereign, He is the uncreated Creator. He is God alone.

The Moriori people were victims of cannibalism as part of the Moriori genocide, a period of mass murder, enslavement, and cannibalism that took place from 1835 to 1863. The Moriori are the indigenous people of New Zealand's Chatham Islands, and the genocide was carried out by the mainland Māori iwi Ngāti Mutunga and Ngāti Tama.
The genocide caused the Moriori population to drop from 1,700 in 1835 to 100 in 1870. The last full-blood Moriori, Tommy Solomon, died in 1933. Today, there are fewer than a thousand people of mixed descent who identify as Moriori.
Before the genocide, a prominent Moriori chief named Nunuku-whenua established "Nunuku's Law", which prohibited war, cannibalism, and murder.
Sounds like your trying to justify colonialism? Every! Colonized country by England including Scotland and Ireland to name a couple of European countries and then the pacific, has murdered, enslaved, raped, burnt Maori alive in a church where they were told they'd be safe. The only reason the British were successful, is guns and cannons. They would have never beaten anyone without their weapons. But here we are.
They werent indigenous to NZ, just another pacific tribe that came by boat - like Maori tribes. They still exist on the chatha m Islands. I had someone from my old church who was a Moriori deecendant.
