Eovaldi pitched multiple 8th innings for them in the playoffs when the setup guys were shaky, then saved the bullpen in the long extra inning World Series game, the only one they lost - they don’t win the WS without him
Bill Mueller wouldnt have had the opportunity if it wasnt for dave. Dave deserves 70% credit and Mueller 30% because without the steal the single means nothing. Idk where that logic is coming from.
I cant watch modern MLB. The rule changes are too insane. Dont want to spend 2 hours of my life watching a game that may end because someone is allowed to start at 2nd base for no reason, or a pitch clock violation
@@chrish2112 well that’s not a very kind reply now is it?? Let’s break down ‘08. Manny AVG with the Dodgers: .396; with the Sox, .299. 0.22 Hr/game with Sox; 0.26 with Dodgers. 0.68 RBI/game with Sox; 1/game with Dodgers. 1.09 hits/game with Sox, 1.4 with Dodgers. OBP and SLG way better with Dodgers vs Sox in 2008. My point? Manny was checked out with the Sox and all in with LA in ‘08. Just ask Dan Shaughnessy, Kevin Youkillis, and Jake McCormick.
@@chrish2112 .926 with Sox- 1.232 in LAD. Goes with my first argument in that he was good but checking out in Boston. Jason Bay- not nearly as great as Manny, yet he managed .897 when he got here in ‘08. I’m telling you- the Sox lose to Tampa if Manny stays in Boston. Wanna keep going back and forth or can we just agree to disagree? Because I’m not buying it (and you tone is pretty bad).
"He stole a base." Mother of Christ. 😂
If Millar doesn't draw a walk Roberts and Mueller don't matter. Wake up idiots
They could have won without Pearce in 2018 but I don't know about Eovaldi.
They needed Eovaldi, I know they lost game 3 but when he went that long it helped the rest of the staff. Also loved him throwing 102 by Bregman
Mazz forgets Varitek and Lowe for Heathcliff Slocumb. I know it was 1997 but funny how mazz conveniently starts the clock at 2000
That trade set them up for 10+ years
Manny had checked out. The really had no choice

‘86 trade for Dave Henderson falls outside of the criteria but is an alltime great
How many successful MLB franchises have these chowderheads run.
Andrew miller for Erod should’ve made tier 2
Jon lester should of been a red sox 4 life
The Ozzy theme song best part of the show

Mazz is consistently the worst voice on the redsox there is. This list was gross lol
Red Sox still lose in 2008 with Ramirez. Manny in 2008 was not the Manny of 2001-07.
Wrong. 2008 Manny had 37 homers, 121 RBI, and a 1.031 OPS. Stop talking.

"This is servicing an agenda."
"Agreed."
