    I have one, and I "deactivated" the Engine Stop thingamajig when you stop at a light pretty easy, it took all of 10 seconds. Love the struck.

    Only negative thing about this video would be the fact the dealership placed their stickers on the truck - sorry but if I'm paying $60k+ on a new vehicle they don't get the free advertising! Super nice truck though and the video content is second to none. I'm thinking of upgrading my '18 XLT Sport 5.0 to a '19 (great deals on remaining '19s) Platinum mostly for the creature comforts and this video makes it easy to decide! Thanks you!

    Great job. I bought a new 2019 Platinum last week from my local dealer in NC. They were nice to deal with but didn’t educate me on all of the features of my new truck. I truly appreciate you putting this out there. I’ll check with you before buying my next Ford.

      @@jasonmagruder7008 It's better than advertised, Jason. A very nice vehicle that's super fun to drive, and is totally loaded.

    I was looking for this video a week ago, but I already bought the fully loaded Platinum F150 2019 based on your old video.

      Curious how much you paid. We were given an offer for a new Platinum for $58000. This offer was for a $64000 price tag, with lot's of incentives to bring the price down to their offer. But the price we have been offered seems to be the average price for one these trucks already. We are also looking at the Limited and especially the Raptor. Thanks.

    I own a 2018 ruby red platinum 4wd w the 3.5 ecoboost and I love it. It was not cheap but it is worth every penny.

    I am just purchasing a 2019 F150 Platinum, used, low mileage, and this video is fantastic for understanding all that I am getting. Thank you so much for doing it. Oh, and by the way, you are very good at this, easy to follow, easy to understand what your saying so keep it up.

    I played this video to try and figure out what the difference was between my 2018 Platinum to the 2019. For the most part all the major things have not changed, there are only 3 differences that I came up with.
    #1 FX4 gets all weather floor mats (Kinda bummed about that, they are nice)
    #2 2018 has a CD player 2019 doesn't (I don't care one way or the other but its actually nice if I ever do wanna bust out my high school tracks)
    #3 2018 has a handle to unfold the rear seats down the 2019 you just pull on it (I guess one less mechanical thing to go wrong)

    Curious about the auto start/stop function during stop and go traffic. Before leaving the work force, I was in 1-2 hr long stop and go traffic. And I do mean stop. I stopped for about 3-5minutes, drive for two or three minutes and then stop again. Couldn't this wear out something by using the stopping and starting so often during a short trip?

    • @longmcarthur
      @longmcarthur  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a great question, I know that they test these pretty thoroughly and I haven't heard of any issues and it has been out for several years now. But it can easily be deactivated by pressing the button.

    • @Scotty_in_Ohio
      @Scotty_in_Ohio 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They also upgrade the starting and electrical components to account for the auto stop-start - that said I "delegate" the duty of pushing the button to my co-pilot. In situations like your commute if you didn't care that much about your MPG I would just turn it off - from what I've read/heard the feature usually only returns a fraction of a MPG.

    I know the seats in the Platinum are heated/ventilated with massage capability. I have heard from some that the leather, padding, and seat structure are different from the Lariat (more comfortable and superior design) - is this true, or are these standard seats upgraded with the massage technology? Thanks!

    • @longmcarthur
      @longmcarthur  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are an upgrade leather from the Lariat.

    What I was hoping to understand, is the difference of the frames between the F150 Limited and the Raptor. Are both truck frames the same for each truck? Not as an add on, or upgrade, just the two frames as they are coming from Ford. It's my assumption the Raptor's frame is stronger than the Limited's frame.

    • @longmcarthur
      @longmcarthur  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      All F-150s have the same frame, the strongest frame in their segment, fully boxed frame with 8 crossmembers.

    I have a 2013 F-150 and have been looking at new ones until I read forums and watched numerous videos here on TH-cam. Yes it's the best looking half ton truck on the road BUT educate yourself on ALL the issues these trucks are having. Excessive Oil consumption, engine/timing chain rattle, 10 speed transmission issues and buckling dash boards to name the major problems. Ford is buying them back or replacing engines... Meanwhile they continue to sell like hotcakes. Shame on you Ford! You're selling us very expensive garbage and in some cases dealers are telling people that engine clatter is "NORMAL". So don't get rapped up in "which package" to buy, they are all garbage.

    Great video review of the features. Still, the Platinum will always remain an overpriced symbol of status. No real life benefits, just a truck driven around by dealership owners and businessmen. I own an STX, which in my opinion, looks way better and cost 40k less.
