This man has really studied the topic and understands it to the nth degree. I admire his meticulousness in speech, and topic and an honesty and description. He is a gift to the psychological world as well as to anyone who wants to learn about it and improve their lives indirectly

It is more than study alone. He lives this life moment by moment. He is a gift indeed. I personally have been able to apply much of his teaching to my own life.

Excellent. Really interesting, HG Tudor’s views on Borderline - that it’s either PTSD or a form of mid-range narcissism. I concur. Also, great personal questions at the end. The last one caused the ONLY “genuine” laugh I’ve heard from HG. Obviously it was somewhat cold; narcissists don’t do warm belly laughs or delighted chuckles.

To me it's because it's all over Internet so we now know what narcissistic person is so yes before we would have stayed in an abusive relationship now we know better information makes a big difference to how u feel about something

I think he manipulates his voice and tells us that he doesn't to create confusion within the people that might recognize him.

I can hear his forced pronunciation, this man has a subtle midlands UK accent when the mask slips, certain vowels you can hear it. My guess is that he has worked quite hard on trying to sound "more upper class" than he actually is. My guess is this guy is grammar school educated, high IQ, Middle class/upper Working class, probably won a scholarship as a young boy and has therefore spent much time around some upper class folk and therefore had a long time to study and practice a more upper class tone. I dont know if this is just for YT, he could use it too (and probably does) in everyday life. But a few times I have heard a mild midlands accent creep in on certain words. An upper class person just would not have that, at all. A middle class person might and a working class person who was totally faking an accent, definitely would. It would not surprise me if this guy displayed more of his regional accent in everyday life.
There is also a small possibility the Midlands part is the fake part , and if that's the case I hope I never meet this guy because that is deceptive genius LMAO
For those not in the UK a Grammar school is a private school originally created so working class kids who were smart could get a high level education for a more affordable fee, or even Scholarship/assisted place (a state subsidised placement based on intelligence). In more recent times the kids attending Grammar schools tend to be middle class, upper middle class and even Upper class, with a few very bright Working class kids.
I personally was one of the latter so I have seen some of this first hand and lived it. My accent became more regional after leaving school because my peers changed from Neutral middle class/upper class posh accents surrounding me, too regional working class accents.
This is quite subconscious, but I would be lying if I did not admit that I was a little self conscious of my middle class accent between ages 17-20. A lot of people used to think I was posher/more middle class/upper class than I am. These days (I am 41) I have a more regional twang to my speech but am somewhere between the 2 (Neutral middle class/regional working class accent, with a tiny dash of other accents that are present local to me, which is far far far more subtle)
My parents are working class people that had good education. My mother has a a generic BBC English accent partly because she too went to a Grammar school and also because she moved around as a kid so never picked up a regional accent strongly.
we all absorb the sounds that are around us. But I suspect A Narcissist in a similar situation would study the accents around them in great detail and apply them to suite their purposes on a constant basis and would therefore become very adept at warping their own accent (not saying everyone who can do this is a Narc)
