Why your Instagram is STUCK and WON'T GROW

- Here's why your Instagram account isn't growing anymore. If you're stuck and unable to grow it's likely due to an increase in Ghost Followers.
The term "Ghost Follower" refers to inactive followers on your page, who don't engage with any of your content (ex: likes, saves, comments and shares).
Because these fake followers aren't engaging with what you post, they're anchoring your page down, and preventing future growth.
This is why you'll start to see reach drops, follower drops, and engagement drops - Instagram is showing your content to less people, because you've got too many Ghost Followers.
And truthfully, Ghost Followers are impossible to avoid. Everybody on Instagram has to deal with Ghost Followers.
How you get rid of Ghost Followers though, is what's important. If you're too aggressive in removing Ghost Followers, you can trigger an action ban with Instagram and possibly even get shadowbanned. You also want to be sure that you're really removing Ghost Followers and not your active audience. You don't want to undo your real growth.

It still works in 2022, for pages under around 15K followers.
Instagram pages larger than that may not have their Ghost Followers correctly identified. The app may make mistakes. (In my experience).
If you can't get any followers on Instagram right now, this is certainly something that you should consider.
Instagram hasn't given users an official method to identify Ghost Followers and Inactive Followers on their account, but this app has worked for me. It may be against Instagram terms of service though, so use it at your own risk. I don't endorse it. I'm simply saying it's a tool that I may have used.
Once you've erased enough Ghost Followers, you should see your engagement rate start to go up. When your engagements go up, this tells Instagram that your page is worth growing with their algorithm.
Generally speaking, I've noticed that the Instagram algorithm helps pages most when their engagement rate is above 10%.
So, to hack the algorithm, use that information to your advantage. Erase Ghost Followers and Boost your Engagement.
By taking these steps, you should see your Instagram growth skyrocket.
These are some simple growth hacks and strategies that I've used to grow my themepage to over 30,000 followers over the last year.
This strategy still works, and is crucial for growing your Instagram in 2022.
If you want rapid growth on IG that lasts, I recommend removing your Ghost Followers as you grow, so that you can elongate your growth periods. Even when your reach is going up and up, remove them.
Hopefully this video can help you to get your page growing again, and reaching more people. It sucks to be stuck on IG, especially when you just had crazy growth.

I understand there's tons of things to try if growth is slow, like modifying hashtags, engaging more, etc...but what do you do if its not that? In my first 2 months I gained about 800 followers, then it stopped. In the last 2 months I gained 20 followers while not changing anything that got me the first 800. Its as if Instagram has handicapped my account behind the scenes.

I check it on a website called Phlanx … also removing who you follow won’t help too much. But removing your ghost followers may help.

No, I think you’re in a good spot. From what I’ve seen on your page, you have pretty good engagement & a solid fan base.
The Instagram algorithm is super complex, especially right now, as they’re making changes to it.
I think you’re in a good spot. If anything, it should get easier for you going forward.

Please solve my query my reel views are increasing and engagement is impoved now on my page. But my followers are decreasing like followers growth in minus now. Followers are stuck on 4300. If you are posting 8 pieces of content, or less, each day - this is ok. Eventually you’ll stop losing people and your growth will be super fast. (This has happened to me for short periods before).
If you’re posting more than 8 things each day, you may be fatiguing your existing followers, so they find it hard to keep following you for long. That might explain why so many are unfollowing.
Just make sure you post less than 8 times per day usually, and that all of your posts fit into the same topic or niche.

My followers have been stuck between these two numbers 880-890 for 3 years now. I’ve never gone above 890. Yet my insights and reels have increased.

I think I'm in a unique situation I got 4 pages on Instagram and all 4 pages don't work. It seems like the social media platform Which include Facebook and Instagram seems to be suppressing my work. For example I will get 1000 views which rarely happens and I will get only 13 likes. Or better yet I will get a 100 views and only one like sometimes I Barely that all.
I would ask people that are close to me did they see my post on Instagram and they would tell me no And while I'm on my Facebook or Instagram analytics you could see my bars going down which means I barely got any visitors and I don't even know why.
This thing just randomly And it'd been going on for Like year now & it's really hurting my business. I don't know who can help me I done talk to Facebook but it seems like. They will purposely avoid answering any questions that have to do with my Surpress.
I’ve seen similar things on some of my pages. I manage 3. 1 is like the complete “suppression” that you’re talking about. 300 views will get me 1 organic like. 1 is hit or miss, but down from a year ago. The other is doing fine.
I think more than intentional suppression, the team at Instagram is clueless. They’ve been trying to change the algorithm significantly for the past year to ‘keep up with Tiktok’ and 80% of the time, it means “hey we don’t know what we’re doing, so we’re gonna break shit until we hopefully figure it out”
I have 104k followers on Instagram and of course, I have more because my insta has been stuck since 20 December until now
But I keep having a notification about 1000 people have followed me in a day but the number of my followers is still the same 104k.
