Y’all have some unrealistic expectations in this new portal era. The coaching staff can’t force someone to commit. They pursued some guys very heavily, but at the end of the day, the guys will make their own decisions. I believe that some fans are overreacting. Carolina will be very solid tournament team next year even if they don’t land a center in the portal

Facts. The times that he played the 5 spot he looked really good.
Their great fits but the $ is not there imho We keep hearing UNC is up there with NIL but come on something isn't right.
Hubert doesn't prioritize pay for play like these other coaches does.
In the words of Demarcus Cousins after Coach Cal left Kentucky. "These kids dont give a damn about tradition." Some Carolina Alumni/Fans need to get more realistic about the new reality of College Sports. Gone are the days where Carolina can pluck other teams players. There are a lot of athletes that say they would love the chance to play for Carolina. Get them! Don't miss out on another Kevin Garnett or Kobe because the kid isn't a boy scout or five star player. Recruit heart and effort and they are going to have to pay to get prime portal players. Also Hubert has to show he is going to treat a big man right and develop and feed them.
Im going to quit in a second but Hawkins is a 4 and if we try to get him to play the 5 we won't get him end of story.
Josh I disagree if we were throwing all kinds of money at these guys we would have got one 5.
Would rather have Hawkins than Therio. He was all about money and wasn't a fit.
Just pay Harrison Ingram to come back. And leave the draft.
I'm sure he got a good offer but if he gets in the top 40 of the NBA, he goes and his rookie deal starts a year early.
He has a NIL deal and he's still leaving
