Such an informative video on Monstera reproduction! Fascinating to learn about these plants' unique aerial roots and how they contribute to their propagation. Nature's wonders never cease to amaze!

Thank you so much! They definitely have one of the strongest most robust roots systems of any "houseplant". Especially when given the right nutrients and substrate to grow in.

Congratulations, I’m impressed with how well every part of the mother plant is doing. You must be so pleased with how this plant has handled being chopped up. I’m also impressed with the GT products, I was just looking at them this morning to consider whether I should buy some Foliage Focus for my houseplants. I also have a lot of orchids in leca, although I have recently bought a fertiliser for them but think it might be more suited for orchids in bark. Thanks for sharing this video, it’s been a pleasure watching.

I am very chuffed with how they're all doing! I've learnt a lot about propagating them over the years to know what works well so happy it's all working out. Oh my goodness, the GT range is my absolute favorite! Consistency is definitely key :)

Thank you! If you're in NZ I actually sell the mix on my website because it is a specific ratio mix, but it's essentially a mix of coconut chips, perlite, NZ fern fibre and NZ orchid bark fine grade.

Great video...prob's one of the VMON prop videos I've seen!
What is the media you used in the pole part of the original plant...is it coco peat???

Thank you so much! I was going to do a voice over on the part of me removing the plant from the pole but I felt it was pretty self explanatory in what I was doing. The pole substrate is NZ fern fibre, it is honestly INCREDIBLE! Hands down the best pole substrate.
