Have you tested with SIM card. I am planned to build it at 12 floor where i dont have any IDF available. Want to plan static IP from ISP with SIM for my SDWAN. what do you recommend for SOHO
no you dont, however if you want specific features you need a license, like vpn, ipsec, zone based firewall, encryption etc. Just a basic internet connection with nat should be fine
@@smanins Hi, yes I did figure it out, I did the commands one per line. However Web UI is pretty useless because you cannot setup ADSL/VDSL service, it will accept the 4G LTE setup from the wizard but the port for ADSL/VDSL remains un-configured. So truthfully it wasn't all I was thinking it would be in addition when going through the wizard setup it does not add DNS servers for 4G LTE.
The ISR C1113-8P is interesting with G.Fast door is the model I wanted to know. Now if possible, or privately, I would like to know the indispensable licenses divided by type and costs. Without licenses I believe the C1113-8P is unusable. If you have time and desire to make the video. Thank you
Hi, it is definately usable without any licenses. If you just need to use it for NAT, Internet, and Routing, and some basic routing protocols it works from the box. However if you need to do Crypto/IPSec/MPLS/Firewalling etc, then you purchase the licensing. You have the SEC, which is the security license which takes care of Crypto (Up to 50M), and firewall aspects, then HSEC (which uncapps the encryption on SEC above 50m), then you have APP license, which allows you to do MPLS/VPLS etc.
@@alcatron I have to replace an old C887VA with IP SEC license. So I need VDSL FTTB profile 35b, better if G.FAST in RRJ11-RJ14 cable with distance from the cabinet of 80m. SSL VPN, IPSEC, basic SD-WAN, Umbrella
So, where are you going to open it?? I was waiting for seeing the inside.
I have a C1111-8P can you guide me on how to license the SEC through CLI
how this model
is it micro-sim or nano-sim for the sim card? from another cisco it showed it as micro-sim and not nano.

Hi, just received one of these, would you know out of box how to activate the Web interface for setup for deployment instead of using CLI
Hey Elliot, did you figure this out? Can we use WEBUI on the ISR 1100 Series?
