"Bad in a funny way" video suggestion for ya: Bloodywood - Tunak Tunak Tun (Daler Mendhi cover). It's funky AF, and I think you'll like it - even the 'so bad it's good' video style of that particular track.
This, though... wasn't something I'd necessarily listen to a lot. I don't *hate* it... but it didn't do much for me either. Like you said, a bit run-of-the-mill / generic "I'm a big tough guy" sort of music. The video was a hoot, though! Gotta give'em that :)

That video perfectly sums up what I love about this band. Yes, it's kind of generic beatdown/hardcore. Yes, it's a bit stupid and childish and over the top. And they realised that and went all in and turned everything to 11.
And yes, you're assumptions of what the shows are like is, from my experience, is spot on. Although every venue I saw them play at have solid concrete walls, so good luck kicking holes into those walls. Lots of happy faces though, sometimes sweaty, sometimes bleeding, and some of the nicest & chill people I've met. (and if that sounds stupid... of course it does. That's the point 🤷‍♂😅)

Tank- Thank you for this. Although I think you're one of the best reactors/channels...I think this review pushed you up to the top. Your reaction was honest. You got about the same feel for it that I did listening to it. Your comment about the green screen was spot on. It didn't seem like there was a whole heck of a lot of thought into it. There were 3 guys grunging it and then one dude in a polo. Towards the end of the video there are 3 guys in fire suits What? Why? . ??? Although I mostly listen to Metal (and mostly thrash/speed) I didn't understand anything they were saying. The song was very short and just way too quick to even get into it. I didn't pick up a chorus or any consistency in the progression. The music started at 2:10. By 3:10 I was done. I watched the whole video...just saying my interest/tolerance in their music was over by that point.

I know a couple of songs of them and saw them live once (kinda as you’d discribed live Show haha) and tbh in my opinion this is quite a boring song of them (just my opinion). But generally really really nice guys had a really cool quit chat with them at an indoor festival. You might like some other tracks like “slaves to the rich” or “fire” more. At least I like them a bit more. I guess the thing about them is mostly their stage presence. When the singer grabbed the mic at that indoor gig, even when you never heard of them before, you just KNEW: Shit’s. About. To. Get. DOWN.
And that was kinda cool tbh.

I'd recommend watching/reacting to 'At war with love' and at least one more of the new songs before your interview with Matthi. I mean, what would be the point if you've only seen one vid/heard on song and then have a chat with the singer? Even if it's not one's type of music and even if you don't like the other songs as well, you would at least have something to talk about... I'm pretty sure Matthi wouldn't beat the shit out of you just because you don't like the music :D

Well Someone knows a trapeze artist. Hardcore. So does the "core" mean "we scream unintelligibly over whatever type of music is the prefix word?" Metal core - unintelligible screaming over metal? TaylorSwiftCore - unintelligible screaming over pop? Basically I'll know to avoid anything labelled with -core. Good to know!

    • @TankTheTech
      @TankTheTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

In all fairness, I do like a lot of "core" music, this particular song was just not my thing.

Dude, awesome videos so far, keep it up! An amazing band to check out is VAN CANTO. They are an A Capella Power Metal band from Germany, that is composed of 6 vocalists and a drummer. They've played Wacken multiple times and in addition to their own music have done covers of huge bands. Including Nightwish (Wishmaster), Sabaton (Primo Victoria), and Grave Digger (Rebellion), with Joakim Brodén and Chris Boltendahl lending vocals for the covers of their songs, and Tarja Turunen joining them on stage at Wacken for "Wishmaster".

The song wasnt that good but I might look into some of their other stuff. The video was just weird but due to the 2020 situation maybe their only option to shoot one ^^"

100% agree with that. I guarantee you this is not what the original idea was. I’ve also seen a lot of their fans say their older stuff is killer compared to this, so I’m gonna give it a shot and listen to some more stuff for sure.

  • @TheRoamingHazard

I like some deathcore metalcore but this is about as generic, bland, and cheesy as core gets. And I totally get what you mean by beat down core or tough guy metal. The pits go beyond shoving and body shot pushes and it's basically a bunch of idiots that go to a mediocre show in a club as an excuse to straight up fight people. Kicks. Hitting people in the face. Nobodies going to help the guy that falls.
I'd like to see you do some reacts to some death core and metal core that isn't so bland.
The side project of Tom Barber and Josh Miller (Chelsea Grin/Emmure) Darko US is pretty good.

What the fuck. A react channel dude who react to Nasty. WHAT THE FUCK.
To begin with, it's not a hardcore band, it's a beatdown band, the best european beatdown band actually. The beatdown is musicaly just about violence. Breakdown and moshpart. Beatdown is not about technique or whatever. We just want brutality.
I didn't know this song until now but my first impression is it's good beatdown stuff but not the best you can find.
From nasty you can without hesiation check :
    - Slaves to the rich
    - Shokka
    - At war with love
    And from other bands :
    - Desolated / Death by my side (Beatdown)
    - Get The Shot / Faith Reaper (Hardcore/beatdown, more beatdown)
    - Get The Shot / Rotting Idols (Hardcore/beatdown, more hardcore)
    - First Blood / Rules of Life (Hardcore/beatdown)
    - Malevolence / Serpents Chokehold (Hardcore/beatdown with a guitarist who knows what he's doing. It's pretty rare in that genre of music =p)
    - Sick of it All (Classic Hardcore band)
    - Walls of Jericho / American Dream - Live at Wacken Open Air 2009 ("Soft" Beatdown, and one of the most badass lady in the industry)

So crazy enough, the band reached out to me on Instagram and I've been talking to Matthi and Bobby all morning. Absolutely awesome dudes, and I'm trying to line up an interview with them for the channel. I listened to Shokka and a few other songs and like it a lot more than this song, and my perception of the band has totally changed since I've watched this video.
