Those john deere 3040 and 3140 tractors were incredibly great tractors, know 1 who bought in 1979 a 3040,still going today at 28.000 hours. Engine sleeves change 2 times plus brakes but what great substance.
I can remember this is the way silage was done in the 80's, Zetor Crystal 8011 two wheel drive, ford 7600 power plus two wheel drive, ford 7000 all with home made trailers and a Michigan 35 loading shovel with London Brick still on the side of it in blue lettering
