1 thing I noticed for Tessa mostly is how much you can tell so much about her personality and nature just by her movement. Sure the voice actress also contributes, but character movements and actions also help too. Her bouncy and playful movement you give her tells so much about her without needing to have someone say it. She's a happy daughter surrounded by the pets/toys she loves so much to play with and dress up who often gets shut downed by her parents who try to make her like them in their rich and posh behavior.
And then she watches a couple dozen people get torn to pieces, likely including her parents😁 (You can hear their screams in the background of the scene immediately after cyn says "you didn't have to see this")
I'm laughing my ass off because i LITERALLY just said 'Cyn really reminds me of GLaDOS' JUST BEFORE the part you say she's inspired by her. Keep up the amazing animation Kevin!
Unlike in 2D, 3D foreshortening can be kind of hard to pull off without bending the rules (or bones). Much respect for pulling it off! I remember the behind the scenes stuff for a animation by Ceno0 doing much the same with a Heavy character. Very well done, Kevin. You're an immensely talented individual!
I can’t even imagine how difficult it must’ve been to pose the silhouette characters in a way that all of their actions were readable, but it *really* payed off! Tessa has already become one of my favorite characters because of how emotive she is not only in her dialogue, but in her body language as well! It’s amazing how high quality all of the animation in this show is compared to some other shows with big-budget funding that don’t even look half as good. Really any piece of media can be called art in some way, but I really mean it when I say that this show is truly, utterly, *absolutely* ART.

1:42 I just noticed here that Cyn’s body parts are manually being moved by the the claws, which might mean that “Cyn”, the drone itself, is likely just a host for whatever the absolute solver is. Or something else linked to the solver.
I love how Kevin applies physics to his work. It makes the characters in the show so lifelike and human, even though they’re drones. Keep up the good work!
5:26 well you (and the sound design as well) did an amazing job! Just seeing the smile in the thunder is creepy, then the eye watching is just horrifying, I loved it!
I love how Kevin made the animations not too squishy, but not too rigid. It gives a refresh to the animation and the episode that made me believe that this episode has the best animation (yet).
I love the squishy look to the eyes. It gives them more character. Being they dont have the ability to be too detailed. It works amazing for being so simple.
man, Murder Drones has brought some of my favorite people together, first, it's made by Glitch, which is ran by the two dudes who also run the SMG4 channel, THEN they brought in Liam Vickers to make the whole thing, who I'm a fan of thanks to Internecion Cube, and THEN they brought in the amazing Kevin Temmer to do animation? It's like all of my favorite things coming together to make something amazing!
It's so cool that a bunch of really cool artists & animators came together to produce such an incredible show for people to watch for free. I think i can speak for everyone when I say thank you all so much for creating this beautiful work of art and I can't wait to see what comes next. :D
The movements are so dynamic and jumpy! I love all the tiny details that are added when the characters emote, uzis ruffled feathers and tessa stomping her foot in frustration are nice examples of the characters physically showing emotions without facial expressions. Also long neck J will forever be creepy now
I love this little behind the scenes and I love Tessa, beyond the VA's work you and the rest of the team did a good job relaying her character through her little shadow self.
This is still really weird for me to see because I was friends with a girl in high school that dated the creator of this show in college, she still might be idk I don't really talk with her anymore, and then I became a big fan of you, and now you're working on this. Goes to show how small the world really is. 🤯

you do an awesome job animating fight scenes and tension! I love murder drones. And the showcase for Pomni and digital circus was great seeing squash and stretch used for her face.
Holding a pose might have been hard for you, since you prefer entertaining movements, but I appreciate the restraint. Sometimes standing still or slowly is better, since it creates a different mood. I’m also really happy squash and stretch is becoming easier and easier for animators, as it helps you add so much more character and springiness to 3D art, and it was so useful in 2D animation. The two seem to coming closer and closer with time, and it creates a fun new style. ☺️
You did an impressive job animating these scenes! You truly helped bring these characters to life with your rigging techniques! Even if it looks awkward from a different perspective.

Digital circus is something ive avoided all spoilers for and waiting till it drops, by animation from the announcement alone i could tell its straight up your sort of content with the movement that is straight up just "you" looking forward to more content from it in the future, glad we got a little test animation snippit!!
N being attached to Tessa is very funny though. Just a stiff drone being dragged around everywhere, smacked with paper, and suddenly is sitting midair while his body spins slightly lol
God dam this is a step up from last time you only animate a very short parts like one minute of animation. Now it’s like almost half an episode. It’s a most important scenes.
