Tears came down fast ! I relate to this so much. My mom worked 8 jobs to get me and my sisters thru college. Didn’t get to be valedictorian. But I did graduate college with honors, 3.8 GPA
Creative and touching speech. Thank you for voicing profound truths that America needs to hear. Kudos to your Alma Mater for honoring your accomplishments without the cowardice of censorship.
I am so thankful for the privilege of hearing your speech and for the sacrifice of people like your parents. I am so sorry such wonderful people as your family were and are not treated better and valued much more.
Latín American here; I am so jealous at the USA that they get to have people like your family over there, instead of here with us. It makes me angry that our messed up governments don’t provide the opportunities that would have made your family be able to stay in LatAm and contribute towards our society. - Excelente discurso, felicidades a ti y a tus papas. Me inspiras a trabajar duro de este lado de la frontera para que esas oportunidades que tus padres fueron a buscar a USA las tengamos en Mexico, y en Latinoamérica en general. ❤️

What an amazing young woman, I loved her speech and am so proud of how she expressed herself without her voice cracking. We sure don't appreciate all the efforts our parent's give us by all the blood, sweat and tears, so that we can have a better life. No doubt she will go on and have a wonderful life for herself because of all the hard work getting an education takes. I cried listening to her recognizing her mother and everyone's parent's.

Get ready to shed tears. She is amazing. So proud of her.
Mexicans, Haitians and People from the Carribbean are the hardest working people but yet they get deported. They don't just sit around and wait for anything to be given to them or feel privileged. This president got it wrong and I pray everyone go out there in vote for change.
There are things called LAWS. If I break into your home and decide to make it my home are you going to try to get me out? You do know that under the law she is actually still an illegal immigrant right? According to the US supreme court ruling a hundred years ago, a child born to a mother who is here illegally shall take her mother's citizenship.

True... Parents always think that they never do enough for kids when we really think that we had the best in life as kids. I cried when she said that.
