I love you guys! I've missed you! I love your hats soooo much. You've asked a lot of questions and I'll try to answer the biggest most important one first.
1. Yes, Byeongkwan is a Faerie. He confirmed it on Twitter the other night. I think he's probably the son of the Faerie Queen sent here to show us mere mortals how to dance. 😉

2. WOWKwan is THE ship of A.C.E. They are soulmates. They may be in an actual love relationship or they may not be. That's their business. That doesn't change the fact that they are soulmates. They are dressed in the style of Joker and Harley Quinn in this video. Check out Take Me Higher to see the real chemistry!!
3. A.C.E is still building their mythology, but the most common working theory is that they are Goblins from Korean folklore. There are common themes and set pieces going all the way back to their debut video Cactus, with each of them portraying a particular type of Goblin and/or mythological entity....like Faeries...just sayin...
4. Chan is clearly not human. When she made him, she knew she had reached perfection.

5. All jokes aside, this is probably the most important question and there are a lot of theories as to "Why some groups are huge and others, with just as much if not more talent, don't quite reach the same level of fame." First thing to always remember about KPop: It is a business controlled by corporations, the government and the super wealthy.
KPop was heavily financed/created by the Korean government as a way to bring money into the Korean Economy. The Big Three (JYP, SM, YG) were all financed by the government. The television companies are as well. Just as in America, the name of the things may be different, but MTV and CNN are owned by the same company.
So as you can imagine when one of those big companies: for instance, JYP, has a group with a comeback, Stray Kids, then every "government" owned TV station has Stray Kids on every day. Their music gets heard every day, on all the channels, because even the "independent" channels have to keep up with what the audience "wants" due to being force fed nothing but their content from the government and the companies. It's way more complicated in that a lot of the entertainment companies own streaming services and talent agencies together, but we don't have time for ALL that.
HOLD UP STAYS! I am a STAY as well. I'm not hating on Stray Kids. I love them, they are talented AF. But it cannot be denied that they benefit from being in the Big Three.
Okay, so if that's the case how do groups like BTS make it so big? Um, well, Big Hit has government loans too and chaebol backing (JYP, SIGNAL, and C&J EM.) The chaebol, which means “wealth clique” in Korean, are family controlled conglomerates that fast-tracked the country’s economic development. Shortly after taking over the government in a military coup in 1963, Park Chung-hee, launched a modernization effort driven by “guided capitalism,” in which government-selected companies undertook major projects often financed with government-backed loans. Like forming entertainment companies or building giant arenas for those groups to perform in or investing in better VR so their music videos were so much better. Are you seeing the connections? There are now 45 conglomerates that fit the traditional definition of a chaebol, according to Korea’s Fair Trade Commission. The top 10 own more than 27% of all business assets in South Korea. For instance, Siwon from Super Junior is from a chaebol family.
OK THAT WAS A LOT. But what I'm getting at is that it is incredibly difficult for an "independent" group to reach the level of fame as a Super Junior or EXO or BlackPink.
A.C.E was formed when a C&J EM employee decided to form HER own company around a group of talented young men (Junhee, Donghun and WOW) and it was through their vocal coach that Byeongkwan and Chan were brought in from JYP. All five were "ACES", good at everything at their companies, but they kept getting passed over for debut. You probably know the rest about the busking on the street in hot pants which caught the attention of everyone in Korea. But again, this wasn't seen as appropriate by the more conservative people there.
Keep in mind, that Korea is a conservative, patriarchal society. CEO Kim Hyeim is one of three women in charge of an entertainment company and one of them is married to the owner of the company, so draw your own conclusions on that one.
A.C.E has risen to the level they are at by sheer talent and strength of will. Which is why we their fans are called CHOICE because we are making a conscious choice to follow a group that doesn't have a huge company behind it.
Are you still awake and reading this? But why?! LOL Go listen to more A.C.E and think about streaming their music on paid services so that they can get some help getting the recognition they deserve. I hope that I didn't ruin anything for you. No one likes to think much about the business of entertainment, we just want to be entertained! But you asked, and so I answered to the best of my knowledge. But honestly, as long as we support the groups we love and stay open to hearing new music and supporting those groups as well...well everyone wins. ❤️🍀
You are forgetting one thing here (a very important thing) even if you know the three (four) big ones, as an international fan you are not affected by it (korean government). You are free to search for grp, to see which grps are existing aside from the known ones (they have youtubechannels). And unfortunately this is a problem for international fans ... they are too comfortable. What I mean is that they don't want to get out of their comfort bubble ... Reasons; fears they might like a grp better than the "loved" one?
@@hijiri0794 I see your point but I have to disagree that international fans are not affected by the Korean government (ie: the financial backing of the bigger companies). Let me explain why.
If you do a search of NCT videos posted today there were over 35. I stopped counting at 35.
If you do a search of A.C.E videos posted today there were 4 and they were all fmv.
It's a sheer question of volume.
International fans can like, follow, stream, stan all they want of the smaller groups/companies but it's a drop in the bucket to the amount that is done by the larger fandoms/companies.
@@lilithofnod So you mean by that i am being led by the korean government? I do not believe THAT. I've heard jpop before (I've been listening to it again recently) but then I found kpop and that only through subed video from a fan. Then i found out that this group also makes music and so i fell into the kpop hole. I know every grp from the big 3 BUT i know also some other grps existence because i go on an adventure and look out for new music but people these days dont do that, what bothers me internally extremely. (sorry when my engl is weird its not my first language)

Try reading some Marx, Locke or any political philosophy or watch The Social Dilemma if you truly believe that any choice you make online is done "freely". The only people in this entire world not controlled by a political system is a tribe so deep in a jungle somewhere that we've never heard of them but even they have leaders that control the tribe.

Good guess but no! It's from a visual novel called Doki Doki Literature Club which I know sounds super girly and boring but it has the most insane twist and is one of the most unique visual novel/video games out there in my opinion ^_^
