Judy Greer is easily one of my favorite actresses for these roles. The first time I remember seeing her was in the theater watching "Three Kings." Very small part, but it was memorable. Then "What Women Want" (bad-ish movie, but she played her small role well.) I was a bit late to the game with "Archer," but I quickly realized this would be her pièce de résistance. And it is. And this compilation proves it.

the problem with that is it wouldn't work: you need a main story with somewhat serious characters for the funny characters to shine. Basically a straight man. In a Pam&Cheryl series Pam probably would become the straight man, losing a lot of her style.

The character for Cheryl/Carol/Charlene/ etc was like the juiciest and most entertaining onion ever, every layer was entertaining to peel. Pyromaniac, kleptomaniac, glue sniffing, dart throwing,masochistic, racist ancestry having rich air headed girl. Every line from her was a treasure. From the disturbing lines to the ditsy ones, she kept me entertained. Put it like this,I stop doing what I'm doing whenever it's her turn to talk because I always know it will be either disturbing, a bit idiotic, sometime weirdly super insightful or intelligent but ALWAYS entertaining. As an example, each time she talks about her rich parents or her ancestors, it is disturbing, yet wildly entertaining to listen
I love her. I have this inner monologue of Cheryl in my head but don’t have the sanity or carelessness she has of oversharing, which is one of the reasons why I love the show so much. It’s quite enjoyable and laughable hearing the craziness come out of her mouth.
I would love for the producers of Archer to get Mark Hamill (voice of Joker in the Batman animated series) as a crazy male version of Cheryl and have those two go at it for a whole episode.
