Take it from somebody that’s had one for three years. Do not buy this model or any Westinghouse warranty sucks if you have any problems with it, they will not fix it. They don’t even recontact you.
HUGE recommendations to consider would be PROPER Break-In oil and installing dual magnetic oil drain plugs and a magnetic oil dipstick. You will and SHOULD get YEARS of service out of it by these three simple upgrades and for under $100.00 add incredible longevity to your machine by this simple mechanical upgrade. No compressor I own gets less and only wished we had these over the last 40 years, probably could have saved more motors!

Hello, In Texas also, I bought the IGEN10500 version of this one about a year ago and I was able to run my 4 ton AC (without softstart), lights and TV in my house without issue and this was running on propane. If I had to purchase again I would purchase the IGEN11500 simple because the it has less that 5% total harmonic distortion, cleaner power. Why the biggest version has cleaner power I have no idea, but that what the web site spec say. May consider the IGEN11500. I know its a little more expensive and don't for get Lowes and Home Depot offer 10% off to Vets' if you are one as I am.

@@GH-wt7ww Hope you didn’t get the Flex. Micro-Air has become a garbage company by knowingly selling junk in the form of the Flex. Go with literally any other brand of soft start.
@@JetFire9 I did install the Flex model earlier this year. There was a little moisture spot on the clear screen after about a month. Micro air sent me a new one and it's been about 3 months now so far no issues. HVAC co stated they have replacing a few of them of all brands here in Houston,Tx.

Never buy this one. This one is fool's gold. It has hideously high THD, which will mess with your electronics, and it doesn't have an oil filter screen to protect the engine. Spend just a few extra bucks and get a good one like the Westinghouse Wgen11500TFc.
Please do not run your electronics with this generator. It will fry them. I’ve had great luck with mine until recently and it’s dropped power rating down to 218 instead of 240 W. houses warranty is horrible. They don’t call you back. Also none of my local generator people will even work on a wing house which really pissed me off, I don’t know what I’m gonna do with mine if it keeps losing power

I had one of these on order and canceled it because I realized going inverter would be better for whole house. Genmax 10500 tri fuel.
