Man we need your reviews, youre probably the only one who gives a shit about Ragdolls. For example no one mentioned that ghost of tsushima is all canned animations and zero Ragdoll.

The takedowns are certainly different. The reason is that Tommy isn't a soldier like Vito and Lincoln. He's an average Joe thrust into the life.

Im glad they kept the brutal take down stuff from mafia III, was one of my favorite things gameplay mechanic wise. it doesn't seem as vicious as mafia III but then again Lincoln Clay is a beast of a dude and that game was much darker in tone so it made sense to have a lot more graphic violence

@@vergilsdisciple3057 yeah bro like the impact sounds of being hit or stabbed feel so quiet and lackluster in this game. Mafia 3 nailed it with the stabs, necksnaps, slams, and weapon butt attacks.
I don't like the fact they copy and pasted Mafia 3 mechanics without any improvements, like reflecting blood, or more realistic bullet/knife wounds. But graphics are still gorgeous.

Honestly I never played the first game and one of the only things I liked from mafia 3 was the gunplay. So if it is a new story for me that looks new with mafia 3’s gunplay, I’m down.

I wish they would’ve come up with a different fighting system. Wasn’t a fan of it in mafia 3 and it’s still not that great here. Also wish there was gore.

A lot of the takedowns look.... weird. The enemies don't react during the takedowns themselves, they just stand there while Tommy looks them in the eye for half a minute then proceeds doing punches and kicks with no weight behind them, then the enemies just fall over and die. Mafia 2 had better looking takedowns

Banestudent21 It was honestly pretty boring, the stealth animations in M3 were boring asf, change my mind, it’s just “slit throat” then “put knife into his head”, every damn time I did a stealth kill it’s either them, I’m a stealthy kid so I see more into stealth
chaos_voltage then that was your problem. The stealth animations were limited because Mafia is an action game with shootouts. Lincoln isn’t always going to sneak

Games like this exist to show how far ahead of the competition Rockstar not just are but have always been. 12 years on from GTA IV and this is still considered an acceptable level of physical detail!

I imagined this game with Melee fighting like THE LAST OF US 2, or at least the 1. The effects are terrible, and the mecanics are so basics and recicled from Mafia 3.
However, the ilumination is awesome, but the phisycs, gameplay, animation are SOOO shitty for a game like this.

Should’ve added more weapons, just watch the untouchables, which is set at the same time, and you’ll know there were a lot of weapons to be used, for instance repeater rifles, the BAR, the Winchester model 1907 and others. Three different kind of weapons which would’ve added a lot of variety to the gunplay.

So much handholding......all tension and suspense are ripped out in the remake . Where is the difficulty in shootouts ??
In classic mode. I'd even say that the gunfights are harder in this game than the original (provided you're on classic mode)
@@mikeferrando5725 Do you reload slower ? Is the minimap gone to not let you see where the enemies are ? Are mission markers on the screen still a thing ? Are first aid packs still spread everywhere ?
@@maxim196 first aid sprays are less and health doesn't regenerate. Mission markers still on the screen and the map is there, but the enemies don't how up on the map reload is average. driving is more advanced. shooting is definitely harder on classic and with no aim assist .

@@maxim196 in classic mode there's no enemies on the minimap but the minimap is still there, no map markers in the middle of the road, and I'd say the reload speed is realistic. The game is pretty immersive, still... you gotta decide for yourself. I'd say this game is just as, if not more challenging than the original. I think it's harder. Its definitely worth 40 bucks lmao

Yes it is very worth it especially since how dry games have been lately this has been very enjoyable but if you do buy this be prepared for the racing mission that shit is a pain in the ass but literally every mission after the racing mission has been an absolute banger (so far)
The Story is worth it tho.
Its amazing... but play on classic and dont give up at the racing mission. Best game in the series though.

A lazy excuse of a game. Reused death physics, blood, shooting mechanics, and movement from Mafia 3. The takedowns are different but carry less weight and are less tantalizing. The hand to hand fighting is just as lazy and glitchy as the last game. Not to mention the other glitches. Definitely won’t be buying this. Disappointing. Oh well.
