This video helped me save $500 on door lock actuators, as I discovered my door lock rods gummed up. I was able to clean and lubricant them and not buy new actuators. Thank you so much!
@@559powerscape More than a month later, and they're still working just as good as the day my grandparents brought this old girl home. Thanks again for the great info on this video!
Man you make it look so easy removing those harness, mine are holding a grip like a vise, I wonder if I could call the fire department to come in take them apart 🤔
Thank you Mr. Lopez. I am a professional mechanic with alldata and mitchell, and it's faster watching your video to get the information. I was wondering if it had hooks or those damn snap in buttons that tear loose from the door panel in many cases. I noticed the screw on the bottom and wondered if it had to be removed. youtube is a wonderful source of information. Again, thanks a bunch, now, back to work.
Thank you very much. This door panel had the hooks. Thank God. Made the process soooo much e-z er cause all I had to do was loosen everything and pull up. Yeah I know what you mean about the the stubborn Retainer Clips. Yeah for that I usually use a Trim Removal Tool. I use the V shaped end to get under the clips and pull them out. Its soo worth it and saves you a headache or 2. lol Have a Great Day!
Hey man I don’t know if you are gonna see this but I have this truck and I locked my keys inside, tried to lock pick it from the outside like an idiot and my lock fell through the door, I can take the door off with the help of this video but is it possible to assemble it back together again? Also this video is super helpful thanks man
Great Video! Would you happen to know where i could order a new door panel? I have the same truck and the pull handles on both side broke. I"m not having much luck finding what I think i need. Any suggestions would be welcomed! Thanks!
I'm not sure on some vehicles that I've replace speakers I've had to sometimes break the housing. I am not sure if this is the case here. this is not my vehicle just making a video of how to remove the door panel. I've never replaced the door speakers on this truck so I really would not know how to remove the Tweeter.
George if you could look at my video about my window. I don’t know why it’s making the noise it is. I’ve had some suggestions but I’m not sure if they’re correct. I would love to know what your think. My truck is very important to me.
Wow I checked out the video and I think Cory Brand is correct. Try that out and see if it works. Also check to see if there is any dirt on the weather strip on the bottom of the frame of the window causing it to scrape the glass as it goes down. There is also a lubricant spray for the tracks on the door window frame so it does not get stuck and goes up and down freely. Hope this works out for you.
It could be the motor or just the toggle switch. Ive noticed that the master control switch needs to be replaced when this happens. My suggestion is to go to a junk yard take of the toggle switch from any 2002 silverado, tahoe or suburban they should be similar, replace it and give it a try. Sometimes the prongs inside the toggle switch get damaged from natural wear and tear and have to be replaced. Sometimes there just dirty and need to be cleaned out. You can try to clean it out with soap and water in a bucket and submerged under water click the toggle back and forth to clean any debris from the prongs let it dry in the sun for a good day to make sure its completely dried out so you dint cause a short and give it a try before you replace parts. You can speed up the drying process with a blower or blow gun from an air compressor. Hope this works out for you!
Love when people make simple how to videos. No fluff. straight to it. Thank you man. Saved me going out there and searching for that last screw.
Heck yes, im glad this helped! Thank you for your support!
