Everyone was thinking this was going to be a JPOP version of a KPOP girl group. This song breaks every current KPOP song structure. Intro, verse, chorus, verse, rap break, rhythm change...etc...This entire song is a rap break and a lovely chorus by Juria and Chisa with that driving, insistent bass beat. We all thought that Harvey and Chisa were the only rappers. And sung in English. The English lyrics may affect their popularity in Japan itself. But this may breakout on an international level BECAUSE it's sung in English. This can really hit the dance charts. I'm ready for the club beat dance remix. Just brilliant. I'm ready for more XG!!!
Looks like Japan is stepping it up. I thought when it comes to J-Pop girl group it would be cutie cutie like AKB or something, but this looks mature and edgy. Also, this song is in English and they sung it real good, too (in my experience Japanese are just really bad at English. Like, super broken). So this is a total treat.
I can honestly already see this group becoming one of the major ones from Asia and out to be global. Their debut was out of any stereotype from ggs in Asia. I think the only artist that has a similar style in Asia (being an idol), would be Jolin Tsai, but this is different even from her style. This is new. Fresh. Clean. And, I can't believe I'm gonna say this about a group that's just debuted (it'll be the first time in almost a decade I'll say this), ICONIC.

They feel global, nothing limiting them. Maybe we r seeing rise of intl pop inspired by kpop n jpop with elements of English pop in terms of song.
