         A lot has changed since I last posted a video about cycle tracking. So I decided to share a little update showing how I track my cycle with just a paper calendar and a pen. Yup, no cycle tracking apps, ovulation predictor kits (OPKs), progesterone test strips, expensive thermometers, or lab testing devices.
    I like to keep my life as simple as possible and that includes tracking my cycle.
    I wholeheartedly believe some of the most powerful things we can do for our health and fertility are also the simplest things.
    Hope you enjoy!

    Hi Kendra, after day 12 of the period, is that the time a women is ovulating? Te reason I ask is because, my menses is irregular and ttc so I'm lost when is the time of ovulation. Thank you for answering! Stay safe!

    • @LiveFertile
      @LiveFertile  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jane. Thanks for your question. Ovulation can occur on any day after menstruation (I was taught it can occur as early as day 5 but I've read as early as day 6 in other sources) and can vary from woman to woman and cycle to cycle. I highly recommend looking into some of the resources I linked to in the description box in this video to learn more about how to identify when your body is gearing up for ovulation and how to confirm it after it has occurred. It might also be a good idea to work one-on-one with a Fertility Awareness Educator for personalized guidance. Best wishes!

    I just discovered your channel, Kendra. I love your natural look, calm demeanor, focus on simplicity and the wisdom and information you share. I do similar charting but I also take my temperature to track my ovulation. Not planning to get pregnant, I just want to know I make sufficient amounts of progesterone as I'm entering perimenopause now. Is mucus production enough to be sure I ovulated?

    • @LiveFertile
      @LiveFertile  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aww, thanks!
      I think it's important to learn a specific method, stick with the specifics of that method for at least three cycles, then if you're comfortable doing so and it makes sense for the general characteristics of your cycle, tailor how you document your signs and symptoms to what works best for you.
      There are so many cycle tracking methods, some of which use only cervical mucus. I like the simplicity of these methods but they might not be the right fit for you or what you're hoping to get out of using a fertility awareness method.
      I highly recommend working one-on-one with a Fertility Awareness educator, taking a class or course on cycle tracking, and/ or reading the Fifth Vital Sign. I should have left links to some resources in the description box (I'll check to make sure I did and add them if I didn't.)
      I know that doesn't answer your question directly, but I do hope it points you in the right direction.
      Be well!

      @@LiveFertile Thanks for your reply. I am familiar with Lisa's Fertility Friday. I think I need to stick with taking my morning temperature as that gives me a clear answer whether ovulation occurred. I'm not that good at assessing mucus.

    • @LiveFertile
      @LiveFertile  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would recommend bringing all questions about your personal health to your personal provider (consider working with a fertility awareness educator). They can help you decide if what you're seeing is spotting and answer any additional questions you might have.

    Its such a shame that girls arent taught to be more in tune with their bodies before/while vecoming women. That said, what marks the "end" of your period, no more bright red blood or no more colored discharge at all? When i track by brown discharge my period tracks for 12 days which seems absurd. But if i stop it when red blood stops showing up its usually a 7-8 day period

      Everybody is different. When your ovulation will happen depends on a lot of different factors that no one and no app can predict for you. The only way to know that your body is approaching ovulation is to pay attention to the signs your body gives you.

    Please if you have your period on the 29th of September and it end on the 3rd October, you you have sex on 4th October, and the same month 13th you have sex again. Please which day will you get you period again?

    • @LiveFertile
      @LiveFertile  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When you have sex (unless it leads to a pregnancy) doesn't influence when you will get your period again. Your hormones, the length of the phases of your cycle, lifestyle, environment, health history, etc. do. I can't predict that for you since I know nothing about your usual cycle length, health history, or lifestyle.
