    Great video man! I’m sitting in an open lot in my a4 and said why not look up how to launch this thing & this video was just posted!😂

    Great informative video. I suppose being a bit older at 67 I’d never launch my S5. My driving is rather spirited though. I’ve been known to exceed the posted speed limit by 5mph on occasion. 🤫

      If you do decide to launch it, the procedures are the same but one piece of advice, HANG ON TIGHT!😇

    It’s a shame that my B8.5 doesn’t have a DSG, the ZF8 just doesn’t let you take off as hard but I’m about to finally try the ZF8 tune soon to enable the “launch control” at 4k rpms so it should be the same take off but it takes longer to build the rpms and well a whole different process, I would say the B9 is the true sleeper

    • @DrivenDynamicsTV
      @DrivenDynamicsTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have heard that the DSG is as close to an “automatic” manual transmission as you can get. Glad to hear that you can tune the ZF8 to add launch control. I’m interested to hear how it turns out!

      @jessicastrat9376 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You need a lower revs for launch control on the ZF8 because when the drive shaft is still (as when about to launch), the torque converter multiplies the torque. This is why the revs when launching on regular automatics don’t go as high as

    It seems like I only need launch control when I don't have time for an "appointment" to prep it 😂😂😂😂
    I have a '21 a5 sb - launched it twice in 3 years and I probably had the wrong temps(too hot)...

    Yo, maybe a silly question. Once you are in S1 and you release your gas. Does it automatically shift from S2 or S3 or are you paddleshifting that manually?

    • @NBASFAN
      @NBASFAN 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      it does, its a safety limit Audi's have it built it so you don't get stuck on the rev limiter on a bad shift. Unless you have a Stage 2 ECU tune that can give you true manual mode that removed that safety limit.

    • @DrivenDynamicsTV
      @DrivenDynamicsTV  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Is it bad for the car and engine?

    • @DrivenDynamicsTV
      @DrivenDynamicsTV  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So yes and no. No because if it were that bad then why would Audi build it into the car but yes because it does put wear on the components that are outside of normal driving. Additionally, Audi limits you to 200 launches, programmed into the ECU.
