Being the ridiculously obsessed Buffy fan that I still am and seasons two/three being my favourite seasons, I cannot express in words how grateful I am you continue to upload these vids!!! They are truly amazing and make me so happy, so thanks heaps Jeff!!
Buffy changed my life in a way i can't even describe. It helped me in my worst and happy moments of my life. I remember as a teenager wondering "what would Buffy do?" (Xander's quote) This video is a treasure. I like every bits of it. I wish to the future generation to love a tv show as much as I loved Buffy and I would like to be able to thank each person who contributed to this dream and helped me to grow up.
Amazing, this was truly delightful. I love seeing raw footage of practical effects; most DVD's would take something like this and cut it down to five minutes. This is why I love the internet.
Hey, how often have seen Sarah ice skate to the funky chicken? :) Anyway, she'll be in some of my other videos. Check out the "S3 MAKING OF THE WISH cast and crew" video. It's wall to wall Sarah. I made it for her fans so they could watch her at work too.
How come I've never seen this before? this is gold!! thank you so much for uploading! if you have more of these BTS goodness please keep uploading for us die-hard fans that scour the internet for new Buffy material.
Thank you SO MUCH for uploading is. I think I'm speaking for all of us, when I say that we all really appreciate the stunt work from you guys, that was always amazing and fun to watch. Buffy is my favorite show for 13 years now and it's pretty amazing that it stays alive with videos like this. Greetings from germany :-)
Wow. It's so awesome to see a new perspective of my favorite show!! Seeing how hard everyone was working (when not knitting or playing football) makes me wonder how you even found time to capture some of those golden moments!! Thanks a bunch!
Angel, is on the grassy knoll, playing football... Spike is in the chair JM. Making bad Un hair jokes... Thank you for sharing this, & more. ❤️🌄❤️ Thank the Hellmouth for you all. The real super beings of Buffy & Angel ✨👁️✨🤘🏻❣️💯 Love you all 🙎🏼♀️🙎🏼♂️❣️ & Miss U all. Hope your all well.
OMG that stunt where she was captured in that net looked like it was sooo much FUN!!! Stunt people are the ones that get to have all the fun on sets, I love it!!! 😁
Kendra's stunt double is also the stunt double for. The first Slayer, the Slayer Spike killed in New York, and gun sister on Angel. I forget her name though
I love SMG from the first episode of Buffy, and I've seen everything she did after. Unfortunately we see her so rarely. I regret that Ringer stopped after juste one season, and I miss her so much.
Stunt doubles are usually the unsung (but valiant) heroes of the screen. They do the difficult task so that the screen actors can focus on the acting. Of course, some actors can do their own stunts, but the doubles are there so that way they don't have to, and risk getting injured and stalling production.
Came here for the stunt footage where Sophia Crawford (buffy stunt person) nearly died. Halfway through the video, you can see her pulled up by a net twice. The first time it was set up wrong, despite Jeff Pruitt's directions. You can see she got pulled up wayyy too fast the first time and barely latched onto the side of the net while falling back down. The second time was done as advised(less counter weight) and both Jeff and Sophia are relieved, and NEWLY ENGAGED between these two takes because he was sooo traumatized from almost losing her. Learned this all on Buffering the Vampire Slayer podcast with them.
Thanks again Jeff! I wish somebody from Fox/Disney would approach you about including this content in the bonus features of the DVD set AND let you provide some episode commentary!
Some of you seem to forget that Sarah was, well, BUFFY. Buffy was the star of the show, therefore she was in almost all scenes! Also, Jeff was the director of the second unit (stunt related sequences), so Sarah was probably shooting with the 1st unit with the rest of the cast. And David only did his close-ups, just like SMG. Plus, if I'm not mistaken, there was a huge fight between Jeff and Sarah so I guess it's normal he decides not to include her parts in this behind the scenes.
Thank you so much ! this is an amazing behind the scenes, you really get an idea of what it must have been like on set, and how special it was. I would love to see a similar vid on season 3, if you have the footage.
This really is a gem! Thanks 4 uploading. Hard to believe that was so long ago! You stunt guys and gals really rock! It's been so interesting seeing everyone 'grow up' since then. Nice to see how some of those scenes were actually made.
This is a great video, I love all the behind the scenes we get here, not just a few minutes either but a nice long video encompassing a lot of different things being shot in more than one episode. I really loved seeing Sarah ice skating, I wish there was more footage of that and also more of her in the video period. It seems like a lot of other cast members like Seth Green, David Boreanaz and Alyson Hannigan were there but not enough of Sarah, since she was main lead in the show she is always what fans crave the most to see. I hope you still have more footage like this that you can upload in the future because you haven't added any new videos in several years. Buffy fans love this stuff, please find the time to upload more! Thanks for the behind the scenes Jeff, Buffy's fight choreography was definitely the best when you and Sophia were working on the show, season 5 and onwards just wasn't as explosive in my opinion. The high school seasons of Buffy were the absolute best!
Great, Jeff! Thanks for sharing. I remember when you talked about the net stunt and how if Sophia hadn't grabbed it on the outside the way she did, she could've easily broken her neck. Heart stopping stuff. - DeMoriel
I would imagine that because Buffy was the biggest character with the most stunts, it meant there was more work to do with the double. So the most interesting stuff stunt-wise would probably have involved the stunt double Buffy. That said, it would be pretty cool to watch SMG kicking ass!
I must say. This is one of your best vids. Very spot on. Loved seeing the crew and CAST this time for the show. Your right about everything being so young and innocent. The first 3 seasons of the show were very 90s. Its good to see off camera everything was also very 90s lol. It is a shame though that your vids give the fans a more behind the scenes experience than the entire DVD sets of Buffy/Angel combined. I also remember...continued
Highlights: David's stunt-double seems like a really cool guy 2:54 That zoom in on James when he says "impotence" when discussing the side-effects of a pill for balding 3:39 Alyson's "can I touch his tongue?" and "ewWweWwe" after she sticks her finger in the werewolf's mouth 5:47 The werewolf stylist crawling over towards the camera and doing a funny whisper-growl sound 9:09 Seth (? had to be) in his werewolf make-up talking about his music career in a spot-on British accent "playing sitar" (which is like a traditional Indian instrument lmao) 9:54 AND then pretending to be a gay hairstylist who is also a werewolf 10:09 David throwing around a football, then basically tackling Jeff who's in the middle of an interview, then saying "fuck" and acting like a dork and an attention-whore-vampire-jock at the same time 11:50 Crew talking in the background, off-camera: Guy "ugh I'm getting faint..." Girl "Oh~ awe yew okay? :c" Girl 2 "I have Cheetos." 15:46 Mild-mannered "Hi. I'm the vampire that gets his butt kicked by Buffy. Just thought you'd like to know that." guy appears, proceeds to get his butt kicked in the next shot, then introduces his son (in case anyone was wondering what a vampire's son looks like). 20:49 David's pottymouth in general. DID NOT EXPECT. David's other stunt-double leaning in to kiss the demon statue, and someone in the background sneezing at the exact same time. 26:45
@Gabrielle St. Claire 👏🏻😍 I really appreciated this. although watching video in full is the intention -- I watched these links first, then watched start to finish. Made it more enjoyable actually, so thank you!
By request --- I'd like to see some more Behind-the-scenes home video footage on the "Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered" episode. (That's my all-time favorite)
@@belkheirinjie6898 Well obviously it's not a real military weapon with an exploding warhead, that would've been madness, but it's a real untethered rocket moving under its own power - you can see it spinning out of control at 3:07 after it hits the Judge. I'd have guessed they might put it on a wire for safety, but maybe you can't get a wire that's both strong enough to control a burning prop rocket and thin enough not to be visible on camera?
I remember hearing that stunt actress at 23:30 had the record for being set on fire more times than any other stunt woman in Hollywood. Wonder if that record still holds!
Sarah was probably shooting with the 1st Unit with Xander and the others. Jeff Pruitt directed for the 2nd unit which was mostly stunt related. It wouldn't surprise me if they shot the stunts firs along with David's close-ups, and then brought Sarah in for her close-ups and the Angel-Buffy non-fighting part of the scenes.
Man that was the greatest thing ever! The cast and crew need to all check their home video's to see if they have some more of this to share with us! :P
Adorable fact: Sophia (Buffy's stunt double) and Jeff (stunt coordinator) are enaged in this video, and are still married today(:

I had no idea that the fight actions on the set were so fast. I assumed it was edited to look that fast (lots of cuts, sped up, etc). Awesome.
I MISS THIS SHOW SO MUCH I REALLY WISH THEY DID A SEASON8 and kept going! I watch this all the seasons on Netflix and cry
David was so hot, thanks for these videos, they are epic! so funny that they actually seemed slowed down alot in editing
Y do u say “was “hot ??? Lol I personally never thought he was hot but it’s funny that u said that.
