      Maybe on you could talk about color theory, lighting, and technique in using watercolor to be paired with your other books. I’ve recently bought both of your books.

    Yes...working with watercolor, go light to dark..and with oils, I always go somewhat light, then darks, them back to lights to highlight. Your channel is awesome....you really give a great drawing /painting class. I love working in watercolor, especially wet on wet. I also love working in pen and ink.

    Your right about the ink speaking softly.... I use pointillism and end up putting to much ink down, need to work on letting up a little.

    Does it feel as easy as you make it look? : ) I love watching your projects, they start out as a simple sketch and with a few quick strokes of color or pen they become alive. Birds are one of my favorite things in life so I enjoyed seeing you create these beauties.
    Thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family.

  • @danielhill4054

    hey what is the white pen you used to add highlights? (I couldn't see it in the description....) i have struggled to find a white pen fine enough to add detail like this

    • @alphonsodunn
      @alphonsodunn  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a Gelly Roll pen. I agree its tough to find one with a fine point. I often have to resort to just using a dib pen and white ink

      Sir you are great artist no doubt..i love ur work because u teach very simple way..but i do love and practice watercolor..watercolor is all about its softness..when color become hard its not looks that great..if required u need to use that also..but how u building ur color and tones that way probability is high to become hard..For that reason wash is the best way 1st tone...then gradually tone u need to increase..Sir i say all this not meant to heart u just i want to convey my view..and also want to see ur work much better way..i am not great any one just simple student who is learning..but still wanted to share my thoughts with u sir..i send a drop box link one of my work..
