Can you believe I have never made chili oil before? This looks amazing!!
Thanks, Julie!!
I can believe it, you look so weak
Yes I believe, thank you
Me 2
It isn't something that shocking or unbelievable
I made and ate this just now and heck yeah was it good! I didn't have gochugaru so I replaced it with garam masala (I am Pakistani) and I also added soya sauce and vinegar to it .I flavoured potato chips with it ( french fries made at home)🤤
Did u add chili flakes I don't have will it make a difference
@@neilzztry chilli powder if you have, or if u have dried chilled u can grind them and use
I have never made it but always eat it. I feel like you need the chili flakes. That is what gives it the flavor@@neilzz
Can you please tell how much garam masala did you use ?
I'm also from Pakistan and gonna try this as you did... 😊
I ate Korean chilli oil ramen for the first time yesterday and I can't believe how unbelievably tasty it was! I ant wait to make chilli oil by myself! Thank u for the recipe!
Best instruction on TH-cam: precise, very clear and simple, easy to follow. Thank you
This looks so good, thank you for the simple recipe
For the first time I got my hands on some Korean chili flakes oh my God they're so good...
So glad you got your hands on some! It's one of my favorite ingredients!
@@hellolisalin can I use chilli flakes that I have in my house? I don't have the Korean one 😔
@@user-yv3lh9fb9p Absolutely. The amount depends on the level of spiciness of the flakes. If they are super spicy, I'd halve the amount of chili flakes. If they are relatively mild, then just sub it for the gochugaru completely.
I put that $hit on everything 😂
Dont use Gods name in vain
I've seen a few recipes for chilli oil but this looks the most straightforward. I just need to get myself some gochugaru!
You could also use paprika powder. It adds a nice color

That delicious. I’ve never made chili oil. I’ve tried it before I accidentally added it to a spicy dish thinking the red was just oil, but it was actually spices and I accidentally made inedible by mistake. I just bought my chili oil online on Amazon. I bought a Chinese brand that I’ve heard of. That’s really good.
This chili oil I made it ,It became very well ,thank you....❤
That m looks tasty. I’m going to try this out.
Very easy and nice❤
Will try this tonight
This is very simple than to do chili oil in my country
V helpful tip with the bowl that won’t crack
Add some roasted peanuts and sesame seeds to this...and OMG..your mouth will burst with flavours

Should this Chilli oil be refrigerated or not & how long will it last, please?
🙏🕯️💐🙏

It's pure awesomeness 🤩🤩🤩

I use chili oil for cooking eggs and chicken as well.
Yummmmmm ✨
Done right!
Yummmmmm
Going to try this but with dried ginger since that’s all the store has and they only have refrigerated garlic so thankfully I should be able to keep this a while lol
I'm going to try this recipe. Everything is out of stock nowadays.
This is the yummiest chilli oil ever . Rest are only drama pit this put that
❤❤
Hi. Thank you for your videos! Is it possible to add honey to the chili oil? For stir fry? Or will the honey burn? Thanks!❤
Can I use after make it. Oh I can't wait for 1 week.
Can u use onion?
I made this but i added a little garlic and it's soo good
@kemi7074: Umm, garlic is in the recipe already.
Chili oil can be last for 1 month if you fry the garlic and ginger until crispy instead just pouring them hot oil
May i kindly request to know how long does chili oil last? Thank you!
Can you tell me what kind of noodle you used with chili oil? Thanks!
or you can use the chili oil with a bowl of warm white rice... hmm Yummy~
Will it be very spicy. Or bearable hotness?
Thank you , chili oil in kroger so expensive 😊
Just add more salt, vinegar and green mangoes it becomes Indian pickle😊
PS more flakes plus a good paprika powder might provide some of that colour...
I did find 1 organic brand, at an astronomical price!
I'd love to... but 113 pesticides have been identified as present in Korean chilis and chili powder. Unfortunately, there is no organic brand I can find. Pale American will have to suffice.
Beautiful recipe! Thank you! ♡
That looks so delicious! Why pour the hot oil over the spices instead of adding the spices to the pot of hot oil?
Because it's REALLY easy to burn the chili flakes/spices if you put it in the hot oil. There's just too much residual heat in the saucepan.
This looks good 😮
Is it ok if I use other oils?
use oils with high smoke points
U could alps do this
Chili flakes
Soy sauce
Seseme oil
The other oil of course
Salt
Sugar
And a little of the noodles broth
If you don't have a safe bowl to use, just use a pot.
If I was to make a bigger batch of this how long would it keep ?
How long untill it spoils
Is a week how long it lasts before it goes bad or?
Do I have to use the red pepper flakes?
Can I do this with fresh chilli?
How long does it last? Does it need to be refrigerated? I'm kind of worried because if not refrigerated it would not last long.. But i'm also kind of worried because if refrigerated, it would turn the oil into solid... Sorry to bother! But nice recipe! I would love to try this!
No need to be refrigerated. You can just keep it in a Jar for months.
Can i apply to scalp?
WITHIN A WEEK?!?!?!?!?!
How long does it last before going bad?
Do you know how to make the panda chili crisp shrimp chili oil ???
Can I use any other type of oil?
I use extra Virgin Olive oil which works really well because you should not be consuming vegetable oil because it causes inflammatory
The problem is extra virgin olive oil quickly oxidizes and becomes unhealthy when heated to high temperatures. Leading to inflammation.
You should only use EVOO raw.
Try extra virgin coconut oil for heating.
I use grapeseed oil as it has a higher smoke point and a bit of sesame oil for flavor. Both also have positive health properties. As noted below, olive oil's health properties are negated once heated to such a temperature.
For how long can i store this?
How long can we store it?
What can I substitute for Gochugaru?
Kitne time ke liye store karsakte hai
Which oil can be perfect for it?
Can i use this one some fried chicken
Should i keep this oil in refrigerator? I live in hot weather country
Yes, refrigerate it! It should keep for about 7 days
What type of oil can I use for this?
How much time for we can store that chilli oil
How long is the shelf life?
Instead of adding the oil to the bowl, can we just add the spices/garlic to the pot (after removing pot from the heat)
I'd recommend pouring into another saucepan. There's still a lot of residual heat in the saucepan you used to heat the oil, which can burn some of the spices (especially the pepper flakes).
How can it stored?
Is there any substitute for Korean chilli flakes???
You don’t have to use it if you don’t want to, or don’t have it
