When my kids were younger, I took them there tent camping. We found a remote campsite called Devil's Elbow. Named appropriately because we fought bugs and the heat till around 2 am, when all three of us were bug bitten, exhausted and sweaty. Finally fell asleep. Not asleep long when we heard a horrific blast from what sounded like a fog horn and saw a huge search light aimed at our tent. It was a massive barge with light and horn blaring! We were very remote, minding our own business. It finally left and we got a couple hours of sleep. We only stayed one night. Glad Sadie is getting better. So hard when they get sick.

I have Valley Fever and permanent calcium pockets on my lungs. I'm very suseptible to pneumonia. People need to be careful too

I saw this video on a guy who had high blood sugar even though he didn’t eat carbs. His doctor suggested he had an unidentified infection somewhere. I’m wondering if that was the case with Sadie. I understand what you covered in the video but there’s a lot we just haven’t identified yet.

Fyi Kentucky is a very popular state to camp in well past summer season...only december to february are there less campers.
Be careful around the water. I’ve heard it can be polluted. TVA reasons-do your research.
You buy a back country camping pass for a few days or the year and there is 50 miles of wilderness you can camp any place you choose and a shoreline on either side. No amenities. You are going to popular places.
I like your choice of music! I loved the land between lakes. Stayed at energy camp and saw a beaver! That’s where my Charlie and I scared a sleeping deer when going on one of the trails. Never knew deer “scream like a girl”! Your video brought back fond memories. Thanks

After watching your videos for about four years, I am convinced that small towns and the townspeople are mostly the same from the east coast to the west. Yes southern towns are generally more welcoming, but northern towns are diverse in people and their level of freedom. We are the land of immigrants. Don’t think so? Ask one of the original people who welcomed us immigrants. 😂

The next time you roll through Kentucky, check out Cave Run Lake in the Daniel Boone National Forest in Morehead. Then travel about 45min away to Natural Bridge State Park and the Red River Gorge. Both areas are right up your alley and will make Land Between the Lakes seem bland.

Maybe you rode the ferry across the Ohio river to Cave-in-Rock, Il? Anyway loved the video. I have finally purchased a camper van and plan on doing some traveling soon. Price of gas well look at this Carolyn : I remember watching the Waltons in the 1970's and gas at Godseys store was only 26 cents a gallon. So I ran that in the inflation calculator and in September /2024 the price should be Inflation Calculator it should be $ 5.97. My problem is that I often won't buy things like my steel roof for the house because it's 15,000 now and my neighbor only paid 8,000 in 1998. It's the same price with inflation.

This is all just a suggestion...Yep Valley fever keeps on going....vets dont treat it long enough..maybe throw rocky mountain spotted fever in the mix . 40 days antibiotic treatment for valley re occurance.. Becareful on and off with antibiotics as they become resistant. Next time have the Nevada vets talk with the east coast vets....i went thru something very similar with my jack russell...after a bit i then started preventative treatment for her liver...and greens. All helped..so glad sweet sadie is ok🙏🙏🙏🐶😊and you!

I am glad Saddie is feeling better. Love your choice of music. I noticed your headlights are yellowed and cloudy. My car had the same problem. I did the mosquito spray hack, and they now look like brand new. Mosquito repellent with deet. Spray on headlights, wait 5 seconds, and wipe with paper towel.
TH-camr, "Lulu's Way" talks about eating healthy and cooking while being in a van. She goes away for up to 4 months at a time. She explains how she cooks meat and veggies on the road. She lost 110 lbs. 10 years ago and has kept it off. She has a printable food plan she talks about. She is headed to Texas today.
One of the main reasons why Valley Fever gets worse is when they dig up the soil. When they Build up buildings and a lot of people don’t know about Valley Fever. So alot of people don’t know when buildings are being erected the fungus in the soil is being disturbed and the wind can blow for many 100’s of miles and affect people who don’t live in areas where the fungus is in the soil. And Drs don’t know about it to test for it and people die. It’s really sad, the damage they’ve done to the earth……They might say it’s global warming but buildings are built all the time and they know about the soil
Try giving Sadie some yogurt in place of antibiotics or along with them.?...❤

I live 45 minutes from LBL and have camped up and down between the rivers all my life. The Kentucky lake side is my favorite. The best time to camp is the fall starting in October. Stop at one of the visitor centers and get a map that marks the roads, hook up cites, and primitive areas. Hope you make it back this way yo explore the area more.
Great views and FYI boycott Amish, for all animal activists and love of the animals it's proven facts how cruel they are to their animals. Their plow horses are beaten and not fed and they run the worst abusive puppy mills in Pennsylvania. Stay clear 👌
I just spent the last two nights near there, in Calvert City. Unfortunately I was being chased by Helene’s rain so it poured for both days.
When my old dog had health issues I put him on milk thistle to strengthen his liver and it also helps to detoxify and reduction of inflammation in the body. We had incredible results and this maybe something that may help Sadie.
Learned something again watching your video. Valley Fever is not something I had heard of. Midwest and southerner so I guess it is not in this area. Good to know about for our dogs. So glad Sadie is bouncing back. Love seeing her bounding in the water to get her toy.
Sadie is so sweet and she loves to swim. I was sorry to hear she got so sick. That darn valley fever scares me to death. We spend every winter in Quartsite in the desert. I always worry about Clover. She really doesn’t do much digging, but she does enough sniffing down and holes in the dirt. ❤ safe travels, I am head west also.

Yes!! And there are way too many unhealthy vegan options these days. Lots of processed foods full of fat and salt. And for me too, it's even the healthy ones; like cashews! LOL

Fyi you are one of the few TH-camrs that I can watch your videos on my tv. The colour and picture is beautiful and clear. When I watch other TH-camrs videos on my tv, the picture is wobbly and blurry. To be fair I know most use their phones to film, not putting them down at all. I love all my fave TH-camrs not matter what. lol. You are so good at filming and take your job seriously and it really shows in the quality of your work. Thanks so much.
