Jonathan: can you talk about the power output of the non-Turbo S variant? Good off the line? Merges well into high speed highways/expressways? Handles five passengers and a full set of luggage and other loads in the back? Finally, when will the non-S variant be available? And do you think a non-premium PHEV will be available for the CX-70 like on the CX-90?
Some people want a bench seat in the second row with more equipment (higher trims). Also there is just a little bit more storage without the third row. 😉
@gerrymercado3182 You don't get it. It is not possible to have a fully loaded cx-90(for ex with the wheel arch, car color painted) with a bench in the second row. With the CX-90, the fully loaded trim only comes with captain seats, and I hate that, for such a huge vehicle. Whereas, with the CX-70, it is possible to have the fully loaded trim with the wheel arch painted, with the bench in the second row. At first glance, I thought like you, then I tried to build a CX-90 on the website, and I realize that in the CX-90, the bench in the second row, only comes with the black wheel arch, which I don't like. Please go on the website, try to build it and you'll understand. Of course it is not everyone that need a bench in the second row, thus, they can take the captain seats. Unless Mazda change that soon, I would go for the CX-70.
@@JSS Mazda Canada does it right. I don't know who the product planner is that is making these decisions for the US, but they keep disappointing me. Also no Machine Grey for US-bound CX-70s despite it being available in Canada. Just stupid decisions, unfortunately.
Not sure about pricing being the reason though. The PHEV premium plus is the most expensive trim and the black padding spoils the red soul color. Also the tail lights don’t light up completely for the most expensive trim. Some of the design choices are terrible. Oh btw the heated steering wheel never heats up :)
A cx60 is the same size as a cx50 with less cargo area 32 cubic feet to 29 cubic feet who is going to play 5k more for the same size car if usa dealerships had all 3 the 60 would not sell people would buy the 50 for price the 70 for size

I just got a cx70 Saturday I'm used to it already it's easier you can go from reverse to drive back and forth without looking and if you want to park it just push to the left

Congratulations! I have one coming in a few weeks. Can’t wait to see it. I know it’s beautiful!

Good looking vehicle, but still have no idea what the point of the vehicle is when you can just fold down the 3rd row in the 90.

This should be a CX90 Trim.
@@dioralcide8490 Not if you want to sell it
Exactly! You can get a second row bench seat on a CX90 and if you’re not using the third row seat just fold it but at least it’s there if you need it.

The CX-80 (sold in Europe) is a few inches shorter and yet it has a third row. If the 70 was the size of the 80, it would be perfect.
Why does Mazda insist on the black plastic even on the top trim PHEV? Doesnt look premium.
It’s frustrating. I assume it has something to do with pricing and trim identity, but mostly pricing.

That’s why we went with the jet black CX-70 PHEV as it looks great and hides the black wheel arch clading
Mazda really should've just brought over the CX-60. This vehicle is still too large for most people, especially in more urban areas

Let's put the inline 6 in the CX-50!@@JaketheSnake-lz1pq
Gonna wait for the MHEV in the fall. Still don't fully trust Mazda's PHEV with the CX-90 issues.
This is a gorgeous SUV but this should be a CX90 Trim. Hopefully the make upcoming CX5 big like the CX60
The CX-50 is slightly larger inside than the CX-60. The CX-60 is too small
Dont like the gear selector tho
I really don't understand this complaint.

Too expensive to get less than cx90.
