"Why are you even a Shia?" - The words which we hear all too often, particularly now, between the emotive seasons of Ghadeer and Muharram. In this episode, Ahmed and Sayed Ali are joined by Sayed Jawad Elhassan, a student of Islam and active member of community. We look at responses to hate speech, along with reinforcing the reasons why we accept Wilayah, and accept the leadership of Imam Ali (as) after the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw). We also talk about the value of engaging in religious dialogue, as well as some of our favourite hadith within Shiism. Join us in this upbeat and insightful episode.

As a Sunni Muslim I consider most Shias Muslims 🤷🏾‍♂️. We may have certain major disagreements but we are still Muslims alhamdulillah

Hopefully in the part 2 you will encourage your guest to speak more and not just shower Ali with praise the whole time. You should re-title this clip, how to respond to people calling Shia kafir. I am new to Islam and want to learn the truth, all I have heard about Shia is from extremist Sunni's who tell me you all perform shirk and pray to Graves. I was hoping this podcast would be more informative. If someone could recommend me other sources to find unbiased info about shiism, that would be great. Thanks

Salaam Alaikum Dear Brother. Welcome and congratulations to you on embracing the blessed path of Islam!
We completely understand and appreciate your feedback. Is there a topic in particular you'd like to hear more about?
I'd highly recommend to check out our "Jumah Nights" playlist which discusses Shi'i belief in more detail - also to look through previous podcasts.
Hope to hear back from you insha'Allah.

Why would u be a Shia
Became Prophet Ibrahim was a Shia of Nuh.
Because Prophet Muhammad was from his progeny .
Because that was Allah covenant and not the unjust.
Because of Mubahillah Allah made it clear who they are and they invoke Allah Curse and his work to the liars .
    Because of Ghadir.
    Because of Muharram.
Because of all the imams dying for Islam.
Because Imam Mahdi is from them .

You probably haven’t a clue about history and the concept of what are the foundations of belief.

@@CTG2500 I have been reading the Quran for 40 years Alhamdollah .
The first time I read it , I realized that the Shia cult is nothing but BS.
The Shias cult has no roots from the Quran at all.
