Ronnie James Dio was especially proud of the lyrics of the song, “Heaven and Hell”. Ronnie wrote ALL of the lyrics for the album. Tony Iommi primarily wrote the music, but as always, he credits the band.
There are two Black Sabbaths in my mind, with Ozzy and Ronnie. I really like the Ronnie Sabbath, great songs with fantastic production from Martin Birch who worked on the Rainbow albums when Ronnie was with Ritch Blacmore and Cozy Powell. Check out Rainbow if you are not familiar with them, fantastic band. "Stargazer" is a must listen. Also recommend Rainbow live from the 1977 Munich concert, tons of great videos, "Catch the Rainbow", "Mistreated", and "Man on the Silver Mountain" are on a next level.

Ronnie with Sabbath, worth checking out "Children of the Sea", "Signs of the Southern Cross", and "I". Plus many others
Black Sabbath 1968-eternity🤘
Dio pushed Sabbath from the 70s into the 80s ! I like Ozzy, but I adore Dio ❤
Listen to Dio with
Richie Blackmore’s Rainbow
“Stargazer” live video
It’s flat out incredible. It shows dio at his best. Amazing
Agree 100%
The almost perfect Metal song.
Try Mob Rules from the next album. The two albums Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules are full of classic songs so you can't go wrong
This may be my favorite Song ever. Maybe Album too. Dio is also top 3 vocalist.
An all time favorite for me. Listen to it quite often still today.
💯

You should check out Dio with the band Rainbow, doing Mistreated live in 1977.
