Incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) is a computational analysis method of earthquake engineering for performing a comprehensive assessment of the behavior of structures under seismic loads. It has been developed to build upon the results of probabilistic seismic hazard analysis in order to estimate the seismic risk faced by a given structure. It can be considered to be the dynamic equivalent of the static pushover analysis.

You cant model Tendon and any earthquake deceive. instead, use SAP2000 or Midas GEN .

you ran the model with si units (m,kN,kPa). but after the analyzation you said the displacement is in mm , why? i am confused

@@KSSE_Engineer thank you so much for your reply . i have another question. i am doing IDA on an eight story base isolated building. i used scaling factors 0.1-1.7 with 0.3 steps, but the problem is it took too long time more than 22 hours, is it normal? is their anyway to reduce the time? someone told me to change the model from non linear to linear elastic but i dont know how to do it in seismostruct. can you please help me?
