Being less time gap between paddy harvesting and wheat sowing is a major cause of Stubble Burning in the northern region, Also Farmers Burn Stubble because it saves 150-200 rupees per quintal in Labour Costs. Where we can Deploy MGNREGA Workers to save this situation and a free farm labor will cheer to stop stubble burning and moreover this will provide employment at rural levels too!

Bro diwali was on 31 october. So it's an illogical argument that diwali is the cause of pollution even after 1.5 months in mid December. For a week or even 10 days or so, maybe yes. But the thing is they do make those piles of stubble in the field but dont pick them on time due to which the the sowing of next crop gets late. Also farmers don't want to burn stubble and pay 5-6 thousand rupees per acre but they do not have any choice.

Many Farmers in Punjab used "Advanced Seeder" tech to sow the new crop without burning the Stubble.... 1 month in, they lost all the seeds to larvae and maggots, now they'll have to sow crop again AFTER somehow getting rid of maggots from their fields.

Whatever stated is absolutely true except the green revolution introduction decade which was 60s instead of 70s. Moreover, the reasons for not using the alternate methods are way more complicated than described and pushing harvesting season from September October to November not just gives less time to opt for alternates but it makes the straw burn slowly and produce more smoke as compared to a month or two earlier burning when plenty of sunlight helps straw dry out to the core to produce less smoke due to high combustion rate.
stubble burning is a problem but the government ignoring farmers voice is more big problem and we need the change, so say to government set a management for local farmers in small villages and cities for to consult with everyone. In ground level its very difficult to survive as a farmer because the rates are too much like oil, seeds, machinery, laber, maintenance, fertilizers etc. the indian government is not good.

When the data came out about falling cases an Indian scientist in nasa got confused as he detected the same amount of pollution so he checked with his satellite. Turns out the satellite India used to detect the fires used to do it around 2 pm so farmers used to burn after 2 to outsmart the satellite. That’s why cases were low recorded

In December there will be no fire in fields, but plz check the data of December of last years also, Delhi had alarming level of AQI. You forgot to add cardboard factories topic which were shutdown in Punjab which used to take stubble to use it in cardboard making. Gatta factories.

Bro agar stubble burn na kre to wheat seeding ke 15 days tak wheat ki roots ko insecticide damage kr dete hai . Jiske chakar main kisano ka bhut nuksan hota hai ek acar main starting main seeding krte time aprox 5 to 6 thousant ka kharcha ata hai woh sara mitti ho jata hai insecticide ke karan or sarkar ko bolo to fir woh sunti nhi na koi help krti hai... to fir stubble (prali) jalana hi rasta bachta hai ... hmne bhi kr diya 🔥 kand

Many Farmers in Punjab used "Advanced Seeder" tech to sow the new crop without burning the Stubble.... 1 month in, they lost all the seeds to larvae and maggots, now they'll have to sow crop again AFTER somehow getting rid of maggots from their fields.

- Truth that no one wants to speak is that not burning stable creates even more pollution. Farmers have to use 10 times more diesel to prepare their fields for next crops and they have to use more pesticide and herbicides as not burning stable leaves lots of crop eating insects and pests.
Pollution from diesel and all those chemicals is way worse than burning stable.
-Another big reason everyone ignores is crackers. Pollution from crackers is wrost kind of pollution there can be.
- Waste burning is another big reason no one speaks about. Most of the waste ends up burning even in landfills

Whatever stated is absolutely true except the green revolution introduction decade which was 60s instead of 70s. Moreover, the reasons for not using the alternate methods are way more complicated than described and pushing harvesting season from September October to November not just gives less time to opt for alternates but it makes the straw burn slowly and produce more smoke as compared to a month or two earlier burning when plenty of sunlight helps straw dry out to the core to produce less smoke due to high combustion rate.
Smoke comes from Punjab to Delhi but don't go beyond
stubble burning is a problem but the government ignoring farmers voice is more big problem and we need the change, so say to government set a management for local farmers in small villages and cities for to consult with everyone. In ground level its very difficult to survive as a farmer because the rates are too much like oil, seeds, machinery, laber, maintenance, fertilizers etc. the indian government is not good.

farmer start sowing late in july due to goverenment rule to save water before this farmer start sowing paddy in april may and yield in late august or september and that time weather is not cold air is also warm and the smoke easily dissipate in the waether easily

@ that’s true I suppose. Just mentioning his stats are wrong. There is a fun story behind this actually if you want to hear. When the data came out about falling cases an Indian scientist in nasa got confused as he detected the same amount of pollution so he checked with his satellite. Turns out the satellite India used to detect the fires used to do it around 2 pm so farmers used to burn after 2 to outsmart the satellite. That’s why cases were low recorded

Burning heat also damage the fertilizer Soil .. Rice should be avoid by Farmers .. they waste a lot of drinking water for this cheap (sasti) crop. Does not worth it. Water levels are going down.
Crackers are also 1 of the biggest culprits in the air pollution crisis. November -mid December is also the wedding season. In this wedding season, as we know crores of weddings are happening. The amount of crackers being used is unimaginable. That should be banned.

In December there will be no fire in fields, but plz check the data of December of last years also, Delhi had alarming level of AQI.
Reason is vehicles, which are increasing day by day and that is termed as development.

Stubble burning is not affecting delhi as such it is affecting the punjab. Kindly raise the issue about the soil flora and fauna (microorganisms) being damaged and destroyed making soil unfertile for future use and the birds residing in farms and small animals are also being burned along with this stubble burning.
