Mandy the salsa was really good, I was actually pleasantly surprised. Our oldest got a job offer in Seattle and we just got back from helping him get settled. Yes I cried huge alligator tears when we said goodbye, but I am so proud of him and happy for such a great job opportunity. We are back home now and I have been resting this past week. So glad I got some of the convenience foods in the freezer, it was a Blessing this past week. Shelby

My sentiments Pam! Ken and I went to California to finish up some business there. During our trip, our oldest got this fantastic job offer in Seattle so we helped him with the move. Although I am so happy for him, I already miss him dearly. We have to be mindful and live in the moment and just love on our families.....💕 Shelby

DAMN! What a haul! Summer can be murder on the food budget! That Martin's bread just made it's way into the local stores here in my neck of the woods and it is really nice! So glad to have a new go to for quick pick up when I need burger buns on the fly!

Girrrll, I feel ya on the huge amount of groceries, I'm a widow so I typically only shop for one, but my youngest, my son, came home for the summer and my budget is feeling it! You'd think that with just the two of us it would only double, but no, it's tripled AT LEAST!! Whew! And if that is the worst part of having my budget stretched, I'll gladly pay it just to have one of my kids back-at least temporarily lol.
What a Blessing to have him home! I can't imagine my life without Ken, to be honest it is my biggest fear. I would be so lost. I am so happy your son came to be with you, priceless! Shelby
I had forgotten how much my kids eat , our son had moved back home just before Christmas, oh my he can eat .
Wow! I'm a mom of 2 and I spend $125.00 dollars trying to feed my family. How do you do it? I maybe buy 1 pack of ground beef, 1 family pack of chicken thighs which are cheaper and 1 case of water. I love your hauls AND your cooking. I did s stock up haul to Costco for a local family that lost their home in a fire. I had so much fun and it did more for me than for the family.
yea i have a costco card but i been thinking about Sam's club and girl ur haul made me decide i am soooo going to get me a sams club card now the soup you got and the potstickers alone would be worth it for me
I just recently got a Sam's Club card and I am enjoying it for sure. FYI the checker told me the Sam's Club paper towels are made by bounty company and are way cheaper. The potstickers were a HUGE box and the bots enjoyed them. They had the Vans eggrolls too. Let me know what you think. 💕 Shelby
Oh my what a great haul Shelby, you must have odooles of freezer space for all of that food. Share with us sometime if you don't mind how you store all you freezer food. Love all your traveling videos too, thank you for sharing the history of your area with us so interesting. Patty
Thanks Patty. We do have a bit of freezer space since we have started buying a whole beef cow each year. Plus I do a lot of meal prep marinades so we can just pull a package from the freezer, defrost and then put on grill. AT the end of the month our village is hosting the Baseball Hall of Fame weekend, I'll try and get some video for you. Our trip to Gettysburg was so interesting, I wanted to share the different vantage points so you could see what it was like during the battles. Hopefully we can do some more traveling this summer but first I have to rest. We just got back from California again and then our oldest got a fantastic job offer in Seattle so we helped get him settled. I have taken this past week just to recover. 💕 Shelby

Im Indonesian. I enjoy ur vids. Love to see the difference of our groceries. If I can say (I watch quite a lot of groceries haul in US) the big difference is on ur processed food, n dressings. I think we also drink less soda n beers. Nice to see lot of products i nver see b4. Judging by prices,urs r a bit pricey but just 10-15% more. Compare to ur income that way bigger thn us.

Soo happy your family is reunited4 the summer..know your not a vlogger but maybe some family fun on camera no need2 justify food choices every once in awhile4 convenience and just plain yummm why not great haul I watch many meal planners and grocery hauls I think we run ours very similar even the cook'n skills we pass down2 our kids are same I tell them a few basic skills and cook'n from scratch is easy and fun would luv2 see the marinade I've tried1 b4 but it's alwayz nice2 see how others do it and what a great excuse2 buy my fav tequila thanx alwayz2 you Ken and your family4 share'n alwayz inspires me2 try something get up and get motivated with adults at home that gets challenging sometimes don't wanna do2 much4 them and thank goodness the messes2 clean are smaller enjoy luv' up them boyz
Thank you Denise! You got to cherish every moment and love on your babies no matter their age LOL. Our oldest took a job offer in your neck of the woods, he is in Seattle now. Yes I cried alligator tears when we said good bye and tears of joy because I am just so proud of the man he has become. We helped him get set up, and are home now. He is the project manager for the SeaTac project and will be there for 3 years. Hopefully the company will let him take projects closest to us after that. Shelby

You've got to do a taste comparison on the boxed Broccoli and Cheddar compared to home made. Also ? can you freeze the homemade in serving size bowls? I get the convenience , sometimes you just gotta do it. Love you girl, blessings to you and yours !
Miss Paula you just made my day! Our oldest got a job offer in Seattle that was too good to pass up, so we helped him move. Saying good bye was so hard, even though it is such a great opportunity. I figure the same thing....I don't usually buy the convenient foods but if it helps me have more time with our boys then count me in. The home made broccoli cheddar soup is better, I have never frozen it because the boys gobble it up hahahaha. Praying all is going well for you my dear Paula!

Dee we spend about 40 per week per person for all food consumed, meals out, household products and personal items. I think it is easier when you have a large family, because you can save on larger items.

The Barber chicken is actually pretty good, I buy it when I'm in a hurry.

Sam's club always has the best blackberries, cherries, and strawberries ,blueberries and raspberries , when it comes to fresh fruit. And their boneless chicken breast makes really good chicken soup and chicken sandwiches

My Husband Daughter and I went too Costco summer of 2019 and did a Huge Grocery Haul we used not one but two shopping carts when all said and done the bill came out to be $1,799.98 and that was not including meat,Vegs,or dairy.

Heather I had a garden and fruit trees in California, but since we just moved I haven't got one in YET! Ken is planting fruit trees this summer and I hope to get a green house in the future. I LOVE LOVE LOVE gardening, there is something so PURE and HONEST about growing food. I do have some herbs growing in pots but can't wait to get growing next year. I have Baker Seeds catalog and spend hours looking at seeds......Shelby

I hate buying processed foods but the convenience won this time. I want to spend time with our boys as much as possible this summer. Love your haul but be sure to check the salt content of the processed food. Plus the sugar in the snacks. Just being a grandma, which I am. How do you make pizza?

Can you do a what's in my fridge and freezer, please.. You buy a lot of meat so you must have a big freezer.
I put it on my list of videos Michelle. I love my freezer, it is what enables me to buy meat on sale and put it up so I don't pay full price. I know my freezer saves our family money. Shelby

The Kiolbassa brand is local brand (San Antonio, TX) and it's awesome! If you come across the bacon or chorizo, you should try them. It's the best! :) Our Sam's doesn't carry it though lol

The pulled pork was good BUT I heard that they have another brand that is to die for, so next time we are going to try it.....I think it is called Bryons Pulled Pork. Shelby
We don't live in SA, we're closer to Houston but it's all "local" to me. I wish Houston was half as pretty. hahaha We have family in SA and we go as often as we can. Puffy taco's are the best ever! Totally agree!

Bridget I buy those filters for my veggie drawers, they supposedly absorb the gases so the produce keeps fresh longer, and I read to keep veggies separate from fruit? Shelby

PB we are just working class but we did the Dave Ramsey plan. He has 6 baby steps to financial freedom that made the difference in our life. You can find on You Tube his "baby steps", it will change your life! I grew up in the inner city, and I have learned you can achieve anything you put your mind to. You should see what I do for my kids when they are home for the holidays , I don’t give in I buy them everything they love because coming home should be fun and being able to be kinda child like again.
