M-VAVE Mini Universe Popping Sound Fix (Try at your own risk!)
We tried a common mod to reduce the popping sound in this pedal.
It may work, but there could be other causes and fixes.
Technically, we have to do some circuit analysis and testing to come up with the best solution.
What we did:
Added 220k resistors (experiment with value if you have time)
Followed a forum recommendation (no in-depth testing and analysis by us)
This is a simple fix that a lot of people have tried.
Results:
Popping sound reduced (sounds/performs better than before)
Important:
Soldering skills required
Do this at your own risk
Results are not guaranteed

As per previous comments, the design has changed on the unit I received recently. The on/off button is different and putting a 1M resistor across the contacts didn't work. So, there is still a slight 'pop' switching on and off. It is possible to avoid the pop by turning down the mix to minimum - or just leave it on and use the mix to remove the reverb

Please help. My PCB board has only 4 solder points. Not 9 as in this video. The pedals are brand new, but still pops. Any suggestions? Thank you🤩🎼

Hello, nice to greet you, I wanted to ask you the following question since I find myself in a problem, I bought a mini universe pedal from m-vave, these come with a factory problem of popping when turning them on, I saw several interter videos where it is possible solve it by installing 2 of 220k resistors in parallel on the board, the problem is that when I open it I find that the board is different from the comparison of the reference videos that I saw (I attach photos) could someone help and tell me what to do? I don't know where to solder them now, thank you very much in advance.

@@sbrown1953 i just put a bleed kit on it = 2 transisters fixed the loud music but can still here it when use usb hookup
