Not only will this be a good run but if Unova fossil run ever happens, that would be hype. Also, an idea if you're running out. In Gen 1, crits were determined by speed. Get electrode(the fastest pokemom, I believe), and try to get 100 critical hits before the league.

Somewhere out there, there is an alternate timeline where MBD took the dome fossil in every one until this one. In that timeline he took the helix fossil for once.
I personally think you underused Dome in this run. I prefer Omastar in Gen 1, but Kabutops is one of the few Pokemon of the era with enough moves to have multiple strategies. You can use Slashes that get Croats every time you hit, Swords Dance and Body Slam/Hyper Beam to abuse badge boosts, Surfs and Ice moves that still use decent damage, and less obvious options like Mimic and Submission. On the other hand, you picked the Dome fossil this time. So this shunning of it later in the episode was welcome.

To explain Slowbro, the 'good AI' pulls from the same super-effective priority as the textbox does. As a result if the text says that something is super effective the AI *thinks* it's super effective even if it's normal effective. There's actually a whole chart that you can look up to find out priority stuff, but yeah, Slowbro was spamming water moves because it thought water>rock thus it never touched it's psychic moves.

It finally changed! Oh god it felt so weird to hear it, but it happened. I'm proud of you for finally doing a proper length ad role. I think a good pokemon challenge that you haven't done could be something like "Can I be pokemon Red (or firered) with Team Rockets Pokemon (either anime or in game)"
I think it would be a cool series to keep doing fossil runs. Even if you can’t normally obtain a lot of fossils, you could Gen them in and I’d be fine with it (maybe a new fossil after every two gyms?) and it would be cool to see how well fossils do through each generations.

I thought MDB could exclusively use fossil Pokemon for this run, but none of them can learn Strength? And Kabutops only learns Cut in Pokemon Yellow? Too bad. If they learned Cut, Strength, and Surf, then we could've made MDB go through Rock Tunnel blind :P
He can use any pokemon he needs for HM Moves- otherwise he'd get completely blocked off from progression in like 90% of runs and have a moveset of exclusively HM moves. It would make every single run into an obnoxious grindfest or an impossible softlock, so yeah. For example, it's literally impossible to complete Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum if he went with those rules, because you need 5 different HM moves throughout the run.

For Misty u could have taught Helix Bide to save on the body slam tm. Also ice beam for Helix would have sped it up a bit when it became available. Submission on Dome could have mvp Lorelei. I one time did an undead team which included the 3 fossils marrowak gengar and the nerveshattering nightmare fuel that is Parasect

An awesome challenge. Over time, I want to see it again in gen 3, 4, and 5. In gen 2, since you can't actually get fossils, you will have to use the universal randomizer and choose between Kabuto or Omanyte, you only get to use one of the two since the only way to get the other is to transfer from gen 1, you can get Aerodactyl in Kanto by trading a Chansey away on route 14, but honestly only having 2 Pokemon, and one for the entire first half of the game, could prove to be annoying. Gen 3 you should use the universal randomizer to start with anorith, and grind it up to level 19 so it learns water gun, because you aren't going to beat Roxanne with scratch, or in the case of lileep, constrict. Gen 4 I recommend starting with cranidos because it starts with headbutt rather than tackle and can hit hard with take down starting at level 15, and using the explorer kit to get the armor fossil which can be revived into shieldon. Gen 5 I honestly don't have a preference whether you start with archen or tirtuoga, but you do get the fossils from previous generations in twist mountain, so you actually get to have a full team of six by the elite four, if you get lucky, as it is once a day.
You're like, the only person that I don't skip the ad portion of the video on. That's because it seems less like an ad and more like a love letter to Khimyra.
I may have missed something while watching or I'm sure someone would've already commented it by now, but just in case. Up on top of the department store where you get the Ice Beam TM, one of the other drinks you give her would've given you the Rock Slide TM, which could've helped on the Rock front you were mentioning you had
I'm gonna continue suggesting Emerald with Surskit and Nincada. AND you have to do every double battles! Another suggestion I have is a solo Horsea run. It feels like a forgotten Pokémon nowadays. You only see Kingdra mentionned when it shows up as someone's Pokémon.

I think Kabuto might actually be a better starter. Has a tough time with Brock, but not THAT tough given it resists Normal moves and can Harden during Bide turns to take even less damage. Then gets a Water Gun TM anyway in Mount Moon, giving it more coverage than Omanyte and letting it use Body Slam to be better in the late game.

I have an idea for a run: Pokemon FireRed w/only each Gym Leader's ace Pokemon. You have to catch and train up all 8 with their movesets intact. So Starmie could never know anything better than Water Pulse, you can't evolve the Rhyhorn into Rhydon since Giovanni doesn't and you'll basically be left to try and strategize which moves would be the best to use in situations. Should be an easy but interesting run. Onix Starmie Raichu Vileplume Weezing Kadabra (since you can't get Alakazam) Arcanine Rhyhorn
Great concept and loved the video. Only complaint is Kabutops getting kind of sidelined, maybe he could have swords dance twice and then hyper beam sweep. With his high Attack, hyper beam is physical, swords dance makes him even faster thanks to badge boost, and no recharge on kos.
Oooh! You should do a fossil run in gen 6 or 7, sword and shield if you really wanted to. You could just pick 1 fossil mon from each generation. Starter has to be lord helix obviously. However, it would allow you to have very diverse typings and would be alot of fun to watch

I recently played Yellow and I really wanted to try the Persian 100% crit build. Turns out you can't catch Meowth in Yellow
Dodrio, dugtrio, Victribel and Persian learn high crit rate moves and had strategies based on crits, so they might be better.

Gen 1 is so great. I honestly enjoy the simple graphics more than the newer games. Finally picked the proper dome fossil.

I never really cared for Ohmastar, but I love the gen 1 sprite, it looks like he's doing a little dance XD

Great concept and loved the video. Only complaint is Kabutops getting kind of sidelined, maybe he could have swords dance twice and then hyper beam sweep. With his high Attack, hyper beam is physical, swords dance makes him even faster thanks to badge boost, and no recharge on kos.
Oooh! You should do a fossil run in gen 6 or 7, sword and shield if you really wanted to. You could just pick 1 fossil mon from each generation. Starter has to be lord helix obviously. However, it would allow you to have very diverse typings and would be alot of fun to watch
