Thank you, sir. You just made me install and try out QGIS. Good that you have an absolute beginners tutorial. I want to build a map creation tool for people who are planning trips or documenting them. Very helpful knowledge you share. Appreciate it!

Thank you. If that's your intended task, you might also benefit from some of the features that come with "Google My Maps" as well. I have done a comprehensive tutorial covering almost all aspects, and a majority of it can be quite relevant to journey planning and things of that nature. You can check out the tutorial using the following link: th-cam.com/video/AYetzQ-InXo/w-d-xo.html

Thank you SOOOOO much! This showed me, in a very clear and concise manner, exactly what I needed to know to produce some maps without having to draw them by hand every time I want to include or exclude a certain feature.

great stuff, I was curious how you can remove the tilt of the polygon when transferring the file to a QGIS software, do you add the basemap first then add the transferred files? thanks

Thank you for your useful and informative videos. I learned a lot.
I have difficulties with My Places and Temporary Places and saving the changes. Imagine I have one KMZ or KML file that I received from a colleague. I apply some changes and add some layers within the main KML file. My questions are as follows,
    1) When I close the file and open it the next day, I see that the KML file is in both Temporary Place and My Places. On which file should I start to work since I need to apply more changes to the main KML?
2)When I want to save the KML file and send it to someone, should I save the one in My Places or the one in Temporary Places?
A couple of times, the changes have not been saved, which is really annoying. Appreciate it if you please help me.
