saw him do a finish the ride event in Kalamazoo about 6 weeks ago. It was beautiful. Like watching Jordan play basketball again, or Jackie Robinson step up to the plate again. Something about him on the bike is almost poetic in a way I couldn't even begin to explain. He's definitely gotten older. But, seeing that was...one of the greatest privileges of my life to date.

It's a sad situation, and I concede I don't know if he ran a racketeering operation. If we accept that then there is clearly a much bigger problem than just Lance's doping scandal. A problem internally with the IOC and probably USADA to a point. I try to see LA as the best rider of his time, the way we see Barry Bonds nowadays. But I do hang on to him as a man who risked his life for sport when he had cancer, and I think that's still admirable, maybe you disagree, but I think it's admirable

But I understand his desire to compete and to win if he could. And in that day and age, I think anyone would agree that you had to dope to win the tour.
lance in truth was a very talented rider and if you think about it if 80% of the riders during lance's era were doping then he pretty much was in equal terms with the rest so either he was better than everyone withouth counting the drugs or he was drugging more than anyone else
