- On May 18th I went down to Kansas City, Missouri to see CP2816 and CPKC 9375 at the CPKC event at KC Union Station. there was a lot of people and friends there as well. it got really hot on this day and it got so hot that first responders had to service someone at the event who unfortunately had a heat stroke in the process but asides from that it was a really fun day. I also got some regular freight and Amtrak action while at this event aswell. Thanks For Watching!! Please Like, Comment and Subscribe!!
I live in the eastern side of Oklahoma, the old KCS tracks snake their way through the Ozark foothills, and I can't wait to see the new paint scheme on the new CPKC locos!
Amazing video! I attended the event but you went beyond and captured a lot of rare trains consists! ❤✌️👍
Thank you!
This is one of the best movies in the trip!! Thanks, Train Man!
Awesome stuff! I wish I could have gone to the event
Thanks! It was a very fun day, but hot as heck.
I was there! I’m really glad to have been able to attend.
It was a very fun day but was also a very hot day but asides from that still a fun time
@@UnionPacificTrainMan1988 Yeah, it was very hot lol. I recorded 9375 starting up, which was very cool!!
Thank you for this event. It was fun
It was fun but also very hot
Well done. Thanks.
Thanks for Watching!
Amazing video that sure was lots of train action
Thank you!
So the Patrick Henry cars came in on the River Runner! I haven't seen private cars on that train in over a decade!
This was my first time seeing private cars on the River runner ever. The Patrick Henry cars sometimes stay in Kansas City for a while and I can clarify because I've seen them in the sidings twice with other private cars.
Some good ol' stuff you got in this video
Thanks!
Nice you guys down there are enjoying this we don,t have this in Canada!!!
It started in Canada, but went south...lol
Good video. I don't particularly care for the new CPKC paintscheme because it's Option 1 which I figured the company was going to proceed with. I was gunning for either Option 3 or Option 5 but those two paintschemes would cost "more money" to make and the CP shareholders wouldn't want that, ergo Option 1 for their choice --- of course. IMO, this Option 1 choice is a slap in the face to the KCS paintscheme and I told CP that in an email. But obviously they didn't care. No surprise there.
Yeah, I don't really care about the CPKC paint scheme either but I filmed it anyway since it's the "New" thing but really CPKC could have done better and probably would have gotten positive feedback but whatever
@@UnionPacificTrainMan1988 Agreed. I know what you mean. Don't get me wrong though, I still hit the Like button for your vid. The CPKC "Burnt Candyapple" paintscheme is a slap in the face to the KCS paintscheme, IMO.
Should have had the yellow on the front
@@JohnLaplante-ig2sw They should have lost the white stencils entirely and used yellow stencils instead. That logo is just terrible. The white clashes with the yellow. Option 3 or especially 5 would have been far better, but instead the company is cheap ergo Option 1. If people like it, that's fine. But some of us don't and think that CP could have done better. But, expecting cheapskate shareholders to know that is impossible.
Nice! I went to but i missed 4
Can't wait for these to come out in HO and N scale
CP 2816 being released by Rapido and CPKC 9375 being released by ScaleTrains can't wait! Thanks for Watching!
@@UnionPacificTrainMan1988 Already have the scale trains pre-ordered.
@@franksabatine9075 Nice!
So there's three ways you can handle a new livery for a new railroad. You can start painting locos the minute you decide you WANT to merge with another and before it's approved (the SPSF Kodachrome way), the start designing it as you wait for approval way, and then this way where you take your sweet ass time and FINALLY debut the new livery over a year after the merger was made official. Glad to finally start seeing this get out there, even if I don't really approve of this particular merger.
Yes, as of right now there are two officially painted ES44AC those being CP 9375 and KCS 4805, they were recently put on a manifest bound for St. Paul so they are out there and more to come
Love the casual salute with BNSF
Yeah, the best part of the day was when 2816 tried to do a whistle vs horn battle!
Ow yes
I went to see CP 2816 in Franklin Park. It was cool!
Nice! Thanks for Watching!
Súper lashup✔️🤍🔥✨🫵🏼🚂🎶
I heard the steam train going by Elston, MO
CPKC = AWVR 767
Does anyone know what those Metrolink bilevels were doing on that Amtrak train?
They were being taken to I believe beach grove to get upgrades and new paint
Nice 👍
Thanks!
1:00 the trains are horn saluting each other now?
Whistle vs Horn battle!
Ah that means trains greeting each other when they see each other
Why is Amtrak pulling metrolink car in 8:31
The 5 hour late Southwest Chef was towing Metrolink bombarder cars because they were on there way to I believe beach grove to get upgrades and new paint
I just See Norfolk Southern and sometimes the throw A heritage unit in
HAVE YOU GUYS HEARD THE HORABLE other whistle that this engine has (strait off on, no modulating as other whistles, does not belong on a steam engine
Yes, I've heard 2816's air whistle and it sounds so bad I wouldn't even call it a whistle I would say its crap as it is. The video where I chased 2816 most of the clips the air whistle is blown but the last clip at Birmingham, Mo they finally blew the 6 chime.
@@UnionPacificTrainMan1988 It reminds me of the Chinese QJ steam engines that were brought in for steam trips ,they eventually were refitted with something descent
