That was quite literally the most impressive bit of tree felling I've seen anyone capture on film. The edge of the cliff, the scaffolding mistake, the weather, dual undercuts, having 4 trees hang up on it, clearing that and eventually splitting that sucker right down the middle. This man is clearly among the elite of this profession. You love to see it. (Edit) Forgot to mention he got his saw stuck and freed it.
He has many more videos on the crazy tree falling he does, dude is an absolute legend. This not even in his top ten. My favorite is when he finds a cave after a long days work of cutting in the vancouver island bush, Its called, I found a cave at work.
That was an educational watch and an awesome fall! Thanks for taking time out of your work day to film some of this work...and one day, your kids will really enjoy seeing what dad did for a living! Cheers....and work safe!!
That was mild compared to some of the crazy scenarios Mother Nature can throw at ya. But ya, a seemingly easy situation can turn into a head scratcher sometimes.
Awesome job my friend ! That one seemed to me to just about be impossible. You have physical strength and mental no how mad skills beyond what is normal . I just hope they are paying you above and beyond what’s normal because you are way worth it . 👏
I am 78 years old and have been watching them fall. This was one of the best I have seen! Well done!!!!! I really enjoyed that! Nick, North West Farmer
That's mastery at it's best Bjarne I felt all the anticipation wanting 1 of those to give that red cedar a knockout punch, outstanding work! thanks for sharing this 😀👍
Mate hats off to you! Thats bloody hard yacca. I thought i was a logger faller, bushman. Yep done it for 15 years. Nothing like as challenging as that. Stay safe my friend.
Damn, just watching and, as someone newly into felling, as I can slowly figure what you're doing, Wow!! Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge
Ahhh...scenes from the mountain! I did a season of shake blocking back in the ‘80s when I was......too old. I’m 70 now. No choice, I need the work. I kept up though it took a week to get the aerobics working to survive the climb to the big dead cedars and then cut my quota for the day. PS.....I like that big X on the back of your slicker. “ Do NOT hit this!” That reminds me.....I’m working the remains of a 6 foot diameter ? log with about 10-12 feet left to split, lying parallel to the contour. I’m waiting for the bucker to finish slicing for me so I put slings together while I wait. Two blocks left....one on the low side of the log, one on the high side. Without deciding which piece, I go for the high side. As soon as I touched the block, that log took off down hill right over the other block. It felt like hours for the bucker to show up.
The trees that that man fell and the steep Hillside he had to work on has to be one of the most difficult and dangerous Tree falling I have seen on TH-cam.
Buddy you never cease to amaze me.....that was just freaking awesome work buddy....nice job.... For that split you get a full dozen gold stars in my book. Our Son just watched it with me and he seriously had to rewind and play it back several times cause he didn't believe his own eyes. He saw me drop 3 bigger (well for our area anyway) Ponderosa and 2 bug killed Fir this last week all at once on the side of a steep incline and he thought that was Perdy cool but this.....well it's his new Favorite Fall of this year so far. Great Work my friend, Stay Safe.
Watching you with a beer doiing that f... job I hope you 1000 bucks for such a shot Very save for me..... Great video Thanks Mr BB cheers from Luxembourg 🇱🇺
That's some serious "thunder". Great job. I grew up in southern Missouri swinging a chainsaw is nothing new for me. But this, this is something different all together
I think this is the first time I see you get your saw stuck! Happy to see you're human too! What crazy conditions you fall in with your improvised footing and scaffoldings... must be nice to have the opportunity to be so creative though! Stay safe!
Best logged on YT and I know their are some good ones. I know you don’t have a lot of time for tips in felling large sticks but I like the facecut video that you did. If you have time I’m sure others would like to see how you sharpen your chains and more detailed step by step as to what your thought process is on felling large timber. Stephan Mackie.
Great job Man! I can tell that you are tired though. You only made a couple mistakes that almost shut you down. No hurries no worries. Be safe my fellow sawer.
Oh Im the first one to see this cool. That double looked like a trouble maker and then that one little tree top took it down to cool great video looking forward to more.
That cedar hated you. Haha! Saw stuck, shit angle, hill side, rain, double stump, and in the end...blew apart. We've all been there and it can suck. Haha! ✌
That’s a great comment. I’m laid up with a torn hamstring right now and Bjarne is making me sore just watching him balance on that 6” cedar post. This guy does amazing stuff in a hostile but beautiful work place. I envy him but don’t think I could keep up with him. My woods days are over. Stay safe Mike. Cheers! Whipple
Damn😮 I bet you sleeping well after a day of that work! It must be like carrying around a small motocross, and in that kind of terrain! No need to go to the gym after that 😂 Cheers from Northern Sweden!🍻

Glad you caught that on camera for all of us to see!
In my opinion it's not only a job it's an art form. Thanks for posting.
Any tree that could survive on the point of this ledge all those years was not going to give up easy! Nice job and awesome video! Thanks...
The picture perfect example of divide and conquer. Beautiful work.
I am always super impressed when i see how surgical you are with those big saws. Awesome videos sir please keep them coming.
Ill be looking forward to more videos . Thankyou for taking the time to setup cameras so everyone can enjoy a real movie
So much respect for you and the job you do. True professional skills at work. Thanks for taking the time to make this and show all of us

Felisidades eres lo mejor de lo mejor saludos
Love the shot of you standing on the split tree trunks.
What diligence! I can't think of many trees more difficult than that one.
That was mild compared to some of the crazy scenarios Mother Nature can throw at ya. But ya, a seemingly easy situation can turn into a head scratcher sometimes.
@@BjarneButler honestly I want to know the top 5 worst now if that was mild
Absolutely incredible! I did NOT see this coming! Mind blown!!
Awesome job my friend ! That one seemed to me to just about be impossible. You have physical strength and mental no how mad skills beyond what is normal . I just hope they are paying you above and beyond what’s normal because you are way worth it . 👏
That is some beautifully inhospitable landscape. Well done, hand.
Thanks
I am sent you a video to the cut down tree in my back yard
A privilege to watch an artist at work .

You guys deserve every penny you make!!!🎉👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Bjarne.... you are the most underpaid human being on the planet. WELL DONE, maestro!
This is a real expert feller of the rare ones.
Mate hats off to you! Thats bloody hard yacca. I thought i was a logger faller, bushman. Yep done it for 15 years. Nothing like as challenging as that. Stay safe my friend.
WOW, that was worth the wait till the end of the movie !! Glad ya got it all recorded 👍👍
Bjarne you are truly amassing to watch bar none
You are a genius Bjarne!👍
Lol 🤙
Damn, just watching and, as someone newly into felling, as I can slowly figure what you're doing, Wow!! Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge
Example, that cut and notch to make a stand to make your notch is something I would not have thought of, and certainly been daunted to try!
And then a stuck bar in that predicament!! You're a beast and super impressive to watch you quickly work thru!!
Love watchin you work Bjarne ! Stay Safe man!
I would have loved hearing that in person! Much respect, stay on your feet!
Thanks
The old "If you can't get it to fall, throw another tree at it" trick. Always works great in the woods! 👌
And that's a perfect example of why I could not and would not be a professional feller. Insane. Great work :)
