The band is capable of playing many forms of music but 'The Marines Hymn is so closely associated with the Marines Corps that the band plays it on many occasions. I prefer Semper Fidelis by John Philip Sousa. It is the official march of the Corps. The band does play Semper Fidelis but I wish they would play it more often. I hope this helps to explain the situation. Also. have seen the Band of the Royal Marines in their last tour of the USA and they are excellent. BTW - There is a TH-cam video where both bands play outdoors together in London.

They don't represent the Armenian Navy or the Brazilian Air Force. Go scratch your own Royal Marines, who, by the way, were nowhere around Iwo Jima, Guadalcanal, Saipan, Okinawa, Tinian, Guam, Bougainville, Tarawa or a thousand other bloody islands in the Pacific during WW2. And, BTW, it's not "The Shores of Tripoli, clown, it's "the Marine Corps Hymn."

My heart is swelled with pride as I watch and hear The United States Marine Corps Band playing our Marine Corps Hymn in another country. 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸
