As someone who got through all 8 episodes of the TV show, I had to repeatedly set the gun aside every couple of seconds. I was able to remember what the point of living was at the end.
You know they could’ve made a movie about the consequences of selling his inventions on why just getting rid of your problems and acting like it doesn’t exist is a bad idea.
I had an idea for a superhero team telling them to join him and hijinks; I like this one too. How was "I gotta keep being a hero a secret" the ONE plotline they decided would work!?
The original writers were executive producers on megamind vs the doom syndicate. They were also given writing credits for it but, that could mean absolutely nothing. In television if a executive producer writes even just one joke they can get writing credit. A real example is Fairly odd parents, several episodes would list Butch Hartman as the writer for the episode when he only came up with the initial idea for the episode. And then it was entirely written by other people. So I would not put much stock into them actually writing the film.
This actually is true, in an interview they even mentioned, the doom syndicate being used, as it was originally planned for them to be his former team in the 1st movie, but they got distracted by the whole megamind/Roxane/hal situation instead basically
@@dramaticmudderer5208 Reusing a concept from previous work makes sense. But the execution was quite terrible. I doubt any of those bastards could actually do half as well as Megamind did against Metroman.

im thinking its an in-universe animated series, and thats why they sound different, and why they renamed Minion, due to copyright. megamind didnt have the time to voice act for some shitty show about himself.
In my opinion the villain for the second movie should've been an old fan of metroman who brings attention to the fact that megamind still killed metroman and get the people against him so we could have the villain fight with some normal or primitive weapons but the threat comes from the change in the people
I see a sequel like that ending with metro man coming back to try to calm the situation because he wanted megamind to be a hero in the first movie when he was talking to him, also that's the only realistic way I see ending that conflict personally because it's not a problem you can just smash into the dirt and I don't think people can easily look past killing metro man just because he can do good but that's just me really
My thinking is you build a myth around metro man and that the people start to think he wants to look heroic to steal from them behind their backs so they attack him but towards the end you have metroman come back and unveil the myth that he was perfect by having him actually be a massive prick kinda like what was seen just a little, he cant even refer to a person in the audience as sir he refers to them as random citizens
@@Finn_the_Cat the thing is if metroman was a massive prick it would completely ruin the complexity of him quiting because then it goes from "he got tired of being the thing society forced him to be" to now just being "I don't wanna". You're taking this in the most simple way to resolve a resolution meanwhile I feel having the ending being him sacrificing everything he can to save the people even at the risk of letting the actual villain run free while the person trying to expose megamind acts like a prick to the people would be a good way to make a showing of his character development without just stating it while showing that a person's beliefs and motivation doesn't dictate who they are
I like the villain of the Button of Doom. Kinda a sense of man vs self which is more natural than a crew that suddenly exists now. Edit: Also if I HAD TO change Minions name (I wouldn't want to it's iconic to me) I would change it to Sidekick not Chum.

Etc etc Youve found yourself and are looking to find how you can balance it on the foundation of your old past self
If they wanted to make a Megamind series so badly, something they could have done was make it into a prequel series so they could keep more of the original characters from the first movie while introducing new ones that could help shape the main character's arcs and relationships with one another. And by doing that, it could help lead up to the start of the first movie, at Metroman's "death". Not to mention, we would get to see all the battles between Megamind and Metroman in the past. But, that's just my opinion.
My theory why Megamind the doom syndicate sucks so much is that the writers didn't like the way the executives forced a new megamind and also saw how a sequel would be pointless. Therefore they made it extra bad so the higher ups loose interest.
@@SnowCount I honestly really don't get it, they even said they had big plans for the 2nd season, but there's no way they can see the slop they made and really think it's good

Megamind 2, the one I wish didn’t exist is also genius. It got people talking which ironically got some people watching it. And considering the budget of the movie, they almost defiently made a profit.
