Alright guys, the '79 Harley Ironhead Chopper Build is getting the killer Frisco "High Boy" Look, with some awesome + 8 Inches Over Extended Fork Tubes. These replace the stock 35mm with ones that are 8" longer than stock. The total length is 31.25 inches. Greg and Jordan get everything tore down and reinstalled with very little issue. A lot of dudes have some strong opinions about something as subjective as motorcycle customization. Stock rake and extended forks is definitely an original chopper style.

We just used a 4x4, that or it has a gangster lean, lol.
Is there any modifications you needed to make to the engine or oil tank after the 8+ forks? Just because that stance and how the engine sits. Any info would be killer, thanks.
Nope, the oil pump is at the very bottom, so it still gets plenty of oil.
Air coold system i imagine would b a different story?
The Dampening Rods usually have a short spring on them. It looked like yours were missing. Do the forks seem to work ok? I pulled mine apart too and they were missing as well, so I dunno. Maybe they're not needed?!
These years did not have the extra spring on the other side of the dampening rod. They are constantly under spring pressure. We ended up finding a schematic for them to see.

It’s weird for about 5 mins, and then it’s completely fine. The short handlebars are the weirdest part.
How long and what size are the pvc spacers?
Those come with the kit, but we didn’t measure them.

No, you just lay it against the stop and then ride out of it. It’s really pretty easy, but you have to get used to it.
Without modifying the frame adding extended forks just makes the bike look weird. It's not not a chopper till you cut the neck.
Some people like extended forks without cutting the neck…
One of the earliest styles of choppers, the Arlen Ness “Frisco High Boy Style,” some people dig it, some people don’t. Every guy has different idea of what a “chopper” is, and “it’s not a chopper until… blah blah blah.”
Chopping something doesn’t mean only chopping the neck; it’s “trimming off” all of the un-needed parts and making a bare bones type bike. Originally the terms Bobbers and Choppers were used interchangeably. Now Bobbers are the bare bones bikes, and Choppers are pretty much any bike that has had some major change, like the frame, or the forks, or both.

@@HiRevzMedia Bolting parts on a stock frame doesn't make you a bike builder.. Building a chopper requires cutting and welding.
