He was raised by the greatest generation,he made patriotic songs, he made song about life, he made sing about being happy , but most of all he was a great man and great husband. When I was in basic training (OSUT actually) at the end of 2011 we didn't really get to listen to music, but we had a bus ride to some kind of training exercise at some point and this came on the radio. At our request the bus driver blasted it for us, and we fucking loved it and started singing along by the end of the second chorus! This song will always take me back to those times.

When I was in basic training (OSUT actually) at the end of 2011 we didn't really get to listen to music, but we had a bus ride to some kind of training exercise at some point and this came on the radio. At our request the bus driver blasted it for us, and we fucking loved it and started singing along by the end of the second chorus! This song will always take me back to those times.

Oh my. I thought I was done crying over Toby. Two days straight when we lost that gracious, charismatic, charming, family man human being and pretty much off and on crying since. I guess God only let us borrow him for too short a time because he needed him back for work in heaven. Yes I am crying all over again. A once in a life time person. So, thank you God for letting us enjoy his spirit as long as you could spare him.

I loved singing this song when my grandpa and me would jam out together when I was younger. He passed almost 3 years ago, and this song always brings those fond mermories. Sucks we never got so share a cold one out of our favorite red cups. RIP Toby and RIP to my grandfather.

my best pal ever LOVED this song.. We went to see Toby Keith in Summerside PEI just a few years back.. Last year at this time.. she was given a sad diagnosis and by 26 June .. only weeks later .. she was gone.
TOday I was in town .. and 2 men came in looking for "Red Solo Cups" . .. this song Immediately came to mind.. It was as if she was reaching down and saying Lindaaaaaaaaa!

When I went to NYC with my school for band and choir, we got stuck in traffic on the way back to the hotel on the first night. So, one kid pulled up this song and everyone (including myself) sang along (much louder than the kid's phone would go). After we finished singing, the tour guide (who we didn't know was staying with us) got on the loud speaker and told us we sounded great.
