Was in the audience this night, and I’m telling you this video will never do it justice. I couldn’t see a single person who wasn’t in tears. Utterly flawless.
That mixed voice in the belting is so fucking perfect. Jesus christ, just closing my eyes and listening to her transition from chest to mixed to head is so beautiful
Ikr? I would love to be able to sing like that! But lessons are a bit out of my budget and I suspect I’d need a professional teacher rather than trying to teach myself or I could probably damage my voice trying.
@@ghostmadlittlemiss the easiest way to teach yourself to mix is by learning to soft yodel with the 5 vowels of the alphabet. go down a scale singing a, e, i, o, u then go up a scale singing it again. then try to switch through going up and down a scale between each vowel.
Went to see waitress this afternoon in Manchester. I’ve been in a very cruel and abusive marriage for the last few years and finally had the courage to say I’ve had enough. Been so isolated but I so wanted to get back out and enjoy life on my own again despite feeling broken beyond belief. Had no idea the storyline for this musical but felt like I was watching my own life and for the first time in years I felt compassion for myself. What a beautiful voice Lucie has.

I honestly just came here 'cause I love Sara and the song but I never expected to scream to the screen of my laptop at 3 AM "ARE YOU FOR REAAAALLL?" Please make her more famous than she already is. Absolutely killer performance. Kudos to you, girl!

This was truly an incredible performance in that she felt so incredibly comfortable to really take her time with this song and let her moments be moments and not run through it but really feel it that you simply can't evoke through professional recordings.
Musically I've always preferred Sara's orginal.... on stage Lucie is the one I personally liked best so far because she didn't overdo it and got the message perfectly and emotionally across... excellent!
