    I’m someone who replays old games like crazy. Every year I restart at least 5 games. I’ve already played through TOTK four times. I could honestly play the switch library until I die as it is now (missing WW/TP tho lol), so a smooth transition to Switch 2 is all I could ever want. All first party switch games at 60 locked and 1080p/4K. Truly would be the ultimate system for me and that’s not even counting the entirely new library we would be getting on top. I completely sympathized with your thoughts and hopefully our dreams are fulfilled nicely here 🤞

      If the switch 2 isn't backwards compatible out of the box and at least run the games like an overclocked switch (runs at 1080p, no res scaling/half rate rendering etc, 60FPS unless physics tied to framerate) I think people have every reason to protest, it would be a 100% anti consumer move and should never be tolerated. A 4k patch would be insanely easy, it's quite literally a matter of changing a couple of lines in a config, but that's up to the developers.
      Anything less than this and I would not be buying anything Nintendo. I have ways of playing their games if I desire, and if they are anti consumer, I will be anti them.
      On the positive side my Wii U is perfect for anything from the NES all the way up to the WiiU in terms of emulation and native hardware compatibility, now that it is EOL and online services are no more I am filling it up with literally hundreds of games from my past. The fact that nintendo did not officially support Gamecube games out of the box was also sacrilegious, seeing as it has 100% native support by design. Oh well, now my WiiU plays it all, no thanks to Nintendo.

    Why do we even need a botw remaster it’s not that old and we have totk set in the same map with more things to do

      Yeah that's another reason why I'm not too hot on the idea of them reselling it. If it's a free upgrade I'll be happy with it. But it's a little bit too much Zelda one after another.

      Why does the game have to be on 3 systems in a row? We need windwaker or twilight princess HD rereleases first. Those haven't made it to switch yet.

    This is an optimistic speculation from me. Maybe the U-king-O thing is botw + dlc all on the same cartridge as totk. All enhanced for the new system. Maybe with a master mode for totk. Massively optimistic, id be super excited if that were to happen

    Finally weighing in on this: If BOTW really is 4K native 60 FPS at least in docked mode, and 1440p 60 FPS in handheld mode with all DLC from the start, with at least a teeny hair of new content - it’s worth $70 to me and I will get it.
    As for how Nintendo would handle this with all Switch 1 re-releases, I could see only this with just Smash Ultimate, maybe Odyssey.
    Now as 10$ “Switch 2 upgrades,” that will definitely happen for much more Switch 1 games and I would maybe prefer that - because most of the big first party successes would have greater versions immediately on Switch 2 - that being said $80 for the true version of TOTK doesn’t sound too good to me. Pros and cons of each scenario for this one!

    • @nishquikpops
      @nishquikpops  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      1440p on handheld would be awesome but I think they'll stick to 1080, otherwise Switch 2 would be insanely powerful!!

      @@nishquikpops good point - I’ll take 1080p but definitely 60fps on handheld as well! But that’s the BARE MINIMUM!

  • @crystalpokedude4329
    @crystalpokedude4329 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

    The only logic I see in this is that they want to make a physical release for the DLC on a Cartridge since they've already closed the Wii U eshop and the day will come when the same has to happen to the Switch eShop.
    I could see the same happening to Smash Ultimate. Rereleases of Switch games with the DLC bundled in to provide physical versions of that content.

    A new 3ds atratefy would be great. Most games are enhanced on the new system with more controls and faster frame rates. As well as SS3d. With a few exclusives which would eventually become the norm in this case. They'd just need to be more clear with marketing than with the N3ds

  • @Smokinjoewhite
    @Smokinjoewhite 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Full remakes or proper remasters with actual rebuilt assets and complete world overhauled where everything receives the attention it deserves, gameplay and QOL improvements etc I would be happy to pay near full price for, even full price if the effort has truly been put in.
    There should be absolutely zero reason for switch 1 games not to have at the very least backwards compatibility and for the framerate and dynamic resolution to be running at the current target cap. All switch games should just work, they may not run at 4k without a small (FREE) patch that is essentially just an adjustment to the configuration files but should have the ability to hit their 1080p 60fps (or 30 if other mechanics are tied to FPS) target, much like an overclocked switch will. Anything other than this is unacceptable anti consumer BS and people should not support it.

    They better have backwards compatibility bro hell nah Im not paying 500 euros for all these games again. But bro having the chance of playing games like Mortal Kombat 1 and Witcher 3 or even Tears Of THe Kingdom for free on the switch 2 with better graphics would be amazing!
    Bro Nintendo at the end of the day is a business, but even then I mean come on wouldnt it be more of a selling factor if Switch 2 had backwards compatibility? I wouldnt buy Switch 2 if it didn't have Id be like 50/50% on if Id buy or not, but with backwards compatibiliyy that would launch it to like 80/20% to me

      Yes, backwards compatibility is a huge selling point. Having a library to play on the new console while being able to sell the old console and some of the games is how many people fund the purchase.

      There should be zero reason to pay more for a new version because you are updating your console. If there is an improved version then that's fine, charge for it, but games from last gen have no reason not to work when the architecture is 100% compatible. Also, I do not consider a simple texture/resolution/framerate improvement a remaster, that's the better hardware doing its job.
      It's like charging to unlock graphical settings on a PC title everytime you upgrade your PC.

      @@nishquikpops As long as Nintendo is successful and sells consoles you will never see their games on PC other than illegally. They know their exclusives sell their systems. PC gaming has been around forever, just as long as consoles, I love PC gaming and always have but for a huge percentage of gamers, they want a box that plays games without the complication of PC settings and cheaper than paying for a rig. Why buy a PC graphics card for $400 or more when you can get a Switch for that price.
