House boat ka per night charge 6k to 7k per room (for a couple) mil jata hai peak season me bhi.
Mainly there are two types of House boats.
Private Houseboat & room sharing basis houseboats.
If you are taking a private houseboat then you are hiring the entire boat which may have three to four rooms or two rooms or maybe single room houseboat.
And if you are taking sharing houseboat then these are big boats which may have maximum 10 to 11 rooms in total, and you can book just one room in it, where two to three person can stay.
Now again the houseboat rides are also of two types :-
1. Overnight stay: Afternoon 12pm check-in and next day morning 9am check-out with lunch, dinner and next day morning breakfast.
2. Second option is day ride where you will board the houseboat by morning 9 to 10am or 11 am and by the evening around 5:00 a.m. or so they will take you back after ride and de-board you from the house boat.
So this type of day trips are much more cheaper than the night stay option. Those who want a budgeted option they can go for this type of day trips in the houseboats also.
And there is a third option of day trip in shikara boats (small boats without any room for stay) which is even more cheaper than the houseboat day trip rides.
So you have these many options of houseboat in Alleppey asceell as Kumarakonam.
