It is taking such a long time to get Olive to .2 Olive really could be the premiere open-source video editor. I am surprised more people haven't joined the project. It could very easily be the best.
Yeah, I agree. Olive's node system is getting overhauled; it might become a lot more capable. Olive is one of the few open source video editors that impressed me, and I am thinking about making some more tutorials if something major happens in Olive.

Are you seriously telling me that Olive Editor can be a Video Editor, Compositor, and Motion Graphics Tool? like Adobe Premiere and After Effects in one? Damn! I'm in. These 2 videos alone are enough to help me understand, since it has a node setup similar to Natron/Nuke, and Fusion. I'll try what you taught.
I am having a little trouble; when I click to edit text, it has me edit it on the screen. When I right-click, it does not give me the option to copy and paste text. I would appreciate it if you would give me some help.

I think the properties section should also include a text editing option.
