      As a lifelong FSU fan, I admit I was hoping for the SEC. But that's slowly been changing when you see the direction of the B1G. Add to your list above the schools that might pair with FSU joining(Clemson, UNC, ND(!)) and EVERY week there will be at least one great matchup, but probably multiple games everyone will want to watch. I think the B1G will be the better conference in the long run.

      @@dlutherc I think long term MIA is a better fit in the B1G than Clemson or UNC ... Clemson's only in this conversation because their on the tail end of the greatest 10 year run the program has ever seen look at Clemson 15 or 20 years ago their not a top 50 program ... UNC is only in this conversation because of academics but MIA is a AAU member their fans are stupid but most Miami fans have never stepped foot on Miami's campus let alone attended the school MIA is actually a great school ... MIA has a massive market a huge loyal brand and rivals FSU and ND who should also be looking at the B1G and FSU and MIA together give the B1G a larger piece of the FL market than the SEC has with UF

      The SEC will do everything in their power to prevent the B1G from getting into to southeast so Clemson FSU all 4 Carolina schools and Miami all go to the SEC. The Big Ten gets the Virginia schools BC and Syracuse. Cal Stanford SMU. help Oregon St and Washington St rebuild the PAC 12

      The only negative about joining this conference is the travel cost for fans. They could drive to many SEC matchups. Also, given the crime rates in many of the larger big northern cities, I would just as soon stay in the South where all is still well.

      Its going to be less than that or nothing! Everybody keeps saying 2036! Well, that 10 year extension that was supposed to be signed in 2021, it still has never been signed by ABC/ESPN/Disney. ABC/ESPN/Disney has been firing people and etc the last few years. They however just got the SEC. You think, they want to put their resources and attention to the ACC or the SEC. I saying its the SEC!

    It will be settled before the season starts. I think FSU pays somewhere between $80 to $120 million to leave. Btw I don't think FSU gives a rat's ass about the rest of the ACC!🤣😭 FYI the payout is higher in the Big10 than it is in the SEC

      It was suppose to be renewed in 2021! The old Commissioner John Swofford extended it without the ACC members knowing. FSU, Clemson, Miami and few other FB schools would have never accepted extending the time to extend the contract knowing the SEC and B10 were coming to new TV deals that would more than double what the ACC schools would be making per team per year.

      Sadly, the acc has no interest in finishing this quickly because they know that not only would losing FSU destroy their conference's value, thus killing their chances of any future lucrative contracts with espn, but you have at least 4 other major schools - Miami, North Carolina, Duke and Clemson, that shown interest or have gone through the motions of leaving as soon as FSU leaves.

    • @DaninVa-gt9nj
      @DaninVa-gt9nj 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It's a bad look for the ACC suing a conference member that wants out. Reeks of desperation. The ACC needs to accept the fact that it is no longer a viable conference and can no longer play with the Big Boys. FSU obviously has a landing spot or this would not be happening. I would love to have the old ACC USC foes UNC, Duke, Va in the SEC. Read that Va was "approached" by the B10 when Maryland left but said no. Very short sighted. If Va leaves, Va Tech will probably be joined with them or political figures may get involved.

    Will be glad to see the ACC do a Pac12. Karma is biting the ACC in the butt. The ACC used to be a stand up conference but now its reduced to adding a B12 reject(SMU)and a couple of Pac12 teams that nobody else wanted. There is NO way ND joins the ACC as a full member now.
    Would like to have FSU in the SEC where its natural rivalries are but FSU had a chance to join in the early 90s and said no. Don't know how the SEC feels about that now. Fla may not want FSU in the SEC. Would be nice to have Ga Tech back in SEC. UNC and Va would be great adds.

    It is a shame the ACC is run by clueless chair warmers. The ACC should actually try to placate FSU by redistributing the money so that FSU is making as much as an SEC or Big Ten school while remaining in the ACC. FSU leaving the ACC means the end of the ACC. Then again it exposes the fact that the ACC was never interested in becoming a powerful football conference. I thought the whole point of fighting for FSU to join the ACC over the SEC back in 1992 was to build the ACC into a powerful football. Alas the basketball schools though otherwise with their so so football programs leaching the money that FSU brings into the ACC to maintain their basketball programs. Once FSU leaves, we can pop the popcorn and watch the ACC become an irrelevant conference not only in football, but also in basketball. There goes the ESPN contract come 2025.

If it does last until 2027 then every school will be able to leave penalty free because penalizing schools AND paying ACC schools $140 Million less than the B1G and SEC in three years counting the new CFP disparity gap.
