okay, i've finally figured it out: jon and sansa's reunion is the best and most heartfelt for two reasons. the obvious is that it's the first. but the more important reason is that both of them, despite their traumas, are still able to emote and express their true feelings. they're BOTH outwardly emotional when they see each other and embrace for the first time at castle black. none of the other reunions can have that, because the other participants are bran and arya who are so changed from their travels, have been so isolated from people and society for so long, that they are fundamentally different at their core and emotionally detached from what's happening around them. arya's reactions are more heartfelt than bran's, but neither come close to sansa or jon's reactions during any of the reunions, and that's the most important part to make any of these scenes hit.
I think there are more reasons. First off, the Jon-Sansa reunion wasn't dragged out. There were very few words involved. It was fraught with emotions, simple, direct, quiet. They didn't try to spell it out for us pretending to go the smart way about it (like in this scene), nor did they use a trite cliché that we've seen a billion times on TV before (like with Arya and Sansa). I can't even comment on the lack of a meeting between Arya and Jon. I read through the five books in a breath waiting for that, I watched this show sink to crap waiting for that, I kept checking for updates on new book publications for years waiting for that. And now that I think about it, if B&W had written that scene in, they would have probably ruined that too.
The reunion between Sansa and Jon was the last good thing I remember on GoT.

Even though this scene will NEVER beat the reunion between Jon / Sansa, I admit having tears in my eyes. For Sansa, more than for Bran, of course.
The last time she saw him, he was just a child and was in a coma. She just lost her youngest brother and there, she's reunite with the last little brother that she has. We see all her despair and happiness even if Bran has clearly give up human emotions.
Personally, when Bran talks to her about her wedding, I had the impression that, awkwardly, he made her understand that he was really sorry for her, that he knew what she had gone through and she did not need to pretend in front of him.
I found Bran quite convincing and moving when he told her he was sorry that it happened to her and in their house. But, of course, he has lost a lot of his soul and does not express himself properly. Especially since Sansa, even if she pretends to be all right, is still deeply marked by her wedding. And knowing that her little brother not just knows what happened to her but also seen it, it's more than she can bear.

The pain these siblings have gone through is unbearable and people really like to shit on Bran and Arya for their lack of emotions when both of them literally lived an isolated life compared to other siblings who actually were with people at least to interact with. He might not have seen everything that happened on her wedding night. He said he could just see bits and pieces of different events. I doubt he'd have brought it up if he knew the full picture, but her reaction is probably the reason he says he needs to learn to see better. It would be soul crushing to have lost the ability to communicate relatably with anyone because you know about their deepest secrets without full context. Bran did have Littlefinger SHOOK when he dropped it on him though and that was fun.

Turning Bran into a robot in season 7 was easily one of the worst decisions the writers did. He wasn't a robot at the end of season 6 after becoming the three eyed raven, nor was his predecessor. It was a very clear shift they went with in season 7 with no real precedent for it. Just ruined scenes like these.

I'm entirely sure the writers made this scene to be compared to Jon and Sansa's reunion to show how things have changed and specifically how much Bran has changed for the better or worse.
What did you honestly expect a Bran and Sansa reunion to be like? I can't even think about Arya and Sansa being all smiles and hugs either. So we'll see how they handle that situation.
It was still pretty jarring to see Bran so disconnected, especially when he still seemed pretty normal by episode 10 of season 6. I think everything is a little weird because the show does not do a good job explaining the passage of time.
Bran was acting a little weird to Edd when they got to the wall, but I assumed it was because he didn't know him and was trying to get straight to the point.
I'm sure a couple of months have passed, so Bran has been downloading so much information that he is gradually becoming less human.
But the show has not done a good enough job of showing that. They treat Bran like a side-character and an exposition machine, when he is meant to be one of the main players for the end of days.

Seeing everything happen the way they did in exact detail and recollection will do that to a person. Bran didn't say all that to taunt Sansa or anything like that, he just wanted her to know how much he can really see through people and past events.
Yeah and chose a shitty way to do it. Why not bring something else up? Her secret talk w/ Sandor, Her privrate meeting about periods with Cersei... but no. There were other ways he couldve easily demonstrated it instead of bringing up the ceremony before one of the most traumatizing events of her life. Thats just cold.
Bran seems broken
He's seen every possible future and all of the past. He's not even really human now.
Legion Goat he definatly is... I think this Three Eyed Raven training really broke him in the inside... I think that he'll have a crucial role to play in kicking the Night's King's ass, but life just broke the kid... Very sad storyline if you look at it...

SansaStcrk he did it to prove that he can see into the future and the past. sansa didn't believe him but Bran gave explicit detail such as the snow falling and her white dress. it's was if as he was there. he said he was sorry but he had to make sure she believed him. Maybe it spooked Sansa.
