I agree with some comments this is not pure italo, some darker/wave elements in there, also super dramatic and theatrical…would call this the Caravaggio of italo, an intense baroque masterpiece anyway. One of a kind really!

Check out other productions from the same production team (Rago & Farina) - Life with You by the Expansives, Man from Colors by Wanexa etc. There are also quite a few other Italo tracks that have similar slow dance vibes, e.g. Distant Planet by the Voyagers.
This song makes me picture that clown in the album cover singing to the face of a freshly severed, blood dripping human head that he holds up in his hand like a small vase while, the moon, planets and stars fly by in the background and he walks like a Shakespeare character.

There's a 30 year difference between those songs. The original is way more impressive considering the synths that were available at that time.
