This game is a glitchy, awful trainwreck. But I will admit that this level is one of the coolest concepts in the series (thieves being allies for once, the spooky and mysterious Middle East inspired hideout). I dare say that the part in 29:21 is my favorite part of the game, despite being an aggravating test of patience from having to work with the game's sloppy controls. Great music and great otherworldly view.
It's really sad that this ambitious game had such a rough production and could've turned out great. The concepts are all there. They just needed more care, time and better management to make them all work.

I honestly hope the next Spyro game is a remake of ETD, but not like Reignited where its a 1 to 1 remake, but instead they make this game was it was supposed to be before crunch cuts:
6 home worlds.
Both Gnasty and Ripto being the main villains.
Bigger worlds.
Etc.

The wizards are sort of glitched, and you have to try moving Spyro slightly left or right to get them (even if it looks like you're going to miss). If you're getting hurt, you might be standing too close.

Hi Aether Backer, can you please tell me where I find the 2 gems? I have looked everywhere and still only have 698 out of 700. I tried reading about this problem on the internet and the only information I found was about other people with the same problem but zero answers.

Some gems don't load in properly, and may require you to leave the level and come back in. This level in particular is extra glitchy, so if you've checked all spots, you may need to do this multiple times. The gems can also sink into the floor and be "hidden" due to a glitch, so walk around as much you can, and make double sure to attack all enemies, because some look like gems.

I'm experiencing the same exact thing and I've been over this map like 10 times before finding the last dragonfly spot and that's what got me to all but 2 gems

I found it I had to leave the level and come back and go to the spot where you find the last dragonfly
