      He showed scissors afterwards with the screen off. If the keys were to leave with permanent damage, it would have been visible.

    • @Coolmanthebryan
      @Coolmanthebryan 8 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      He literally describe the analogy of plastic and glass at the beginning. Maybe if you were paying attention, you could have gotten that information. Lol

    • @anonymoushippopotamus8731
      @anonymoushippopotamus8731 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      +Coolmanthebryan Yes I know you moron. So when Pepsi did the "Pepsi challenge" you think that was a fair comparison? You think when Cable company "compares" themselves to Dish satellite they are really comparing?
      This is an advertisement. A commercial. It is PRETENDING to be a video comparing but it is just a blatantly biased advertisement.
      Maybe next time before you call someone out, try using your brain first.

      If you kept watching he also used scissors after that and showed the screen turned off and it still had no scratches. I use one and it really doesn't scratch and looks great (unlike plastic it maintains sharpness and accurate color). They will definitely crack if they hit the floor though

    I will definately sondier getting one of these! For my ipad and iphone because I have the ipad air 2 and iphone 5c and I will not risk them getting damaged as they cost so much. I currently have a drop resistant case on my ipad and it was fine after a day the the second day there was a small crack at the bottom. Bearing in mind I have never dropped my ipad and it was fine before the case was on so its obviously very tight on my ipad and I dare not take it off as it will relive the pressure and it might crack more and screen replacements are expensive

    actually plastic screen protectors do the trick to unless ur just reckless and always dropping the iphone face first then just stick to this but if ur that person who deosnt drop it face first just stick to plastic. what he says is true that it looks better and feels better then plastic. but cracks r caused when there r scratches on ur screen. the more scratches u have the more easy it is to get cracks becuz the compounds that hold the glass together r broken apart which makes it more prone to crack.

    For scratch use a quartz crystal or a flint stone or similar everyday not too hard stone (hardness 7 on mohs, ordinary steel is softer and keys are way softer). Even ordinary glass rarely gets scratched keys and scissors or even ordinary hardened steel blades you still need to apply some force.
    The challenge: A tungsten drill bit ;)

    7:32 there is a jump cut or more like a back cut it cut to the time when he shows the time when he wrote on the phone with the pen then he wiped it off then.thats was the first one he did then the second one was the keys that's why he showed the screen with it on because I was scratched and with the screen on you can't see it . You can replay the pen one and then play the last one it is the same words and the same movement

    not sure when this was originally published but do the iPhone screen protectors with the home button cover allow for sensor touch to still work properly? are these considered edge to edge screen protectors? do they have compatibility with 6s & 6s plus iPhones?

    Use sticky de-duster last - and don't set everything up on a fuzzy lint-covered fabric to start with. Dust will float in if there are any drafts, and static will draw it like a magnet to surfaces just like the screen, so dust is the final thing not the first thing to deal with.

    I believe they did an excellent job in not only showing how to properly apply one, but the stress tests were enough to show that if they'd done those to a phone with the flimsy plastic shield, they would've damaged that phone. I mean, it's kinda petty to try and negate the video's purpose over a few semantics. Let's not get started on the way warning labels are because there is always "that guy" who did something stupid to have to have the warning there in the first place. The point is, it's a great video for those who are in the market for buying a screen protector, like myself, and that's what they wanted to be taken from this.

    SecondSkin make both, my girl got the plastic and I got the glass and the glass is indeed far better. I know some are worried about the thickness but this thing is barely noticeable. SecondSkin One I think it's called? Bodyguardz make a good glass one too. But yeah, glass > plastic.

      adorablecookie04 i have one i got it on ebay for like $7 australian and they charge $10 to put those plastic ones on. AI friend only 2 months ago dropped his phone that had a cheap screen protector face down and it broke the screen protector one but the phone was all good i can not recommend these screens high enough and there easy to apply yourself

    What a racket these people have going for themselves.
    Fitting screen protectors is a nightmare and this looks every bit as wearisome as putting a plastic one on.
    My advice is always to take it to a place like the Carphone Warehouse in the UK and get them to fit it,in a flash.
    Nice idea to have something that doesn't attract fingerprints though..although, I bet it does! :O))

      I just just got my first glass screen protector ever, for my fourth iPHone, (the 6 Plus). It was easy as could be to apply, far easier than any plastic screen protector. The most crucial part is insuring the screen is free of dust particles. The glass screen protector is so superior to plastic screen protectors--which show every fingerprint and smudge of grease--that I will never go back to plastic screen protectors.

    • @neorich59
      @neorich59 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      robert101455
      Hi Robert, I agree, it's crucial to make sure that the screen is free of dust particles, but that's easier said than done, in my experience and I've tried all the usual tricks like taking them into bathrooms and running the hot water etc :O)
      I've seen the glass screen protectors on a few phones now and to me, they look a little "raised," whereas my Media Devil screen protectors look almost invisible. In fact, when I've taken them to replaced, the guy who fitted it swore there wasn't one on there and one even put a replacement on top of the one that was already there when I thought I had a scratched screen.
      But, even Media Devil are doing the glass ones now, so maybe they are the thing of the future?
