- My latest traditional animation (as much as traditional animation gets now a days with computers, I still had to draw it out) project based on Dragon's Lair. It took me a while to make, but I finally finished it.

I didn't expected such a horrifying ending. It started so family friendly...
I didn't either. I was going to end the whole thing at the door closing and then I thought of adding a scream. Then I thought the average person wasn't going to know what Wayland Corp was, so I was going to add a few pictures. Then the few pictures turned into more pictures and more screams and then it just turned into this thing with the screams and more faces and it started to be funny to me.
@@JiM-SWEET-art The ending was very scary, and I thought it was amazing lol, it reminded me of Jurassic park 1, the reference to the alien movie is very good

Thanks. Did you watch it to the end beyond the door scene? I just have a feeling people will close it or move on thinking it's over after the door scene. I was thinking I could incorporate all different movies into each room.

i must admit, i did not see that ending coming, just looking at the sci fi esc door i was expecting maybe time travel? space ace crossover? nope, freakin aliens! weird but very cool.

The best fucking twist ever, the change in the music the moment the door closes. The slow shifting frame zoom into the title on the door. And the rest of the horrors that came after. My jaw was open in shock & awe for the rest of the video. This is straight art man... May as well make a crossover video with the predator too. @JIM-SWEET-art

The first minute of this video would make for a good example, if you were part of the animation team to bring the movie to life, which Netflix shut down on.

@@JiM-SWEET-art It's good when you know it's there. I was just caught off guard. Alien was about the last thing I'd expect to be in Dragon's Lair. I thought it would be Space Ace, or Titan A.E.

Yeah, those other option would have made more sense for the Don Bluth world. I just went with the Alien thing for some reason. I can't tell you why. It just went that way.

I really should. They would be needed if you made the wrong move. I should also add some yellow glowing to indicate which way to move for some of the moves like in the real game and maybe the beeping sound when the move is made.

Well done on finishing the animation, but what was up with the Alien crossover?
I don't know. I think I just thought him going out a regular door at the end was boring. Since you can do anything in animation, this came to mind. I think I'm going to do one with a normal door there just to have a regular Dragon's Lair animation too.

Thank you. Do you mean because lots of people do animation the easy ways now? Like South Park kind of stuff?
@@JiM-SWEET-art somewhat. Its just that most 90's animation is near impossible nowadays due to rising cost and lack of teams. It usually takes an asian studio sometimes to get more detailed animation. (And it was even somewhat like that in the 90's, lol)
One day i want to do animation very similar to TMS. (Animaniacs, Lupin the 3rd, Sonic: Man of the Year, etc.)

You'd be surprised what you can do on your own if you really want to put the time and effort into it. I have a bit of trouble sitting down and really getting it done.
I never heard of TMS, so I had to look it up.
I just use Flash five and draw it on paper, import images. I don't have anything fancy or complicated. Very detailed animations are really hard and time consuming.
This needs more love! You should make some shorts/reels out of it if you have not yet. Good material should not be published only once.
Thanks man. I have just recently started making shorts to see if I can get more traffic. I made five shorts just he other day. My stuff is barley seen it seems. Plus I never really use TH-cam to it's full potential. I like to use copyright audio, so if I use TH-cam right, I have a feeling I won't be able to do that anymore.

It seems I'm barely visible on this site because I never monetized or confirmed my phone number or anything and I've been on TH-cam for quite a while. I think the first year it started. I should get a phone and do all the other things, but that way I won't be able to use copyright material. I like using music from anything.
